How about Adam Pittser? Rated by ESPN higher than Brissett... 16th overall. Central Michigan is his biggest offer to date. Somebody should at least check the kid out, maybe make contact.

Is it just LSU or are other teams involved?
I know that UCLA and UW are both looking for a backup plan for Hundley
depending on which school he chooses.

jordan jefferson was not either and the situation called for a guy to have to step up and we had a scholly kid who could do it. he was not recruited to be a starter and now he may end up doing it for 3 years. you never know what will happen. if we think rivers is the future, then oliver could be a supporting role and may end up to be the better option. kind of like russell and flynn. obvioulsy russell was higher profile and flynn was a kid with great potential.

i think oliver's instincts and awareness are underrated. he has a strong arm with a poor throwing motion......he uses all arm a lot of times. very stiff lower body, but has good wrist action and can throw the ball around pretty well. worth a take from a kid who probably bleeds purple and gold and leads a successful program.

Your exactly right about his lower body. Whats funny is thats the easiest part to fix. Thats why i think its a no brainer to sign him. Its funny how a kid who's easily a top 40 to 50 qb in the country gets no respect in his own state

That's a retarded statement, he was a 4* and highly recruited

On the otherhand, I do like what I just read about that Deleware kid... Ill have to keep my eye on him

The kid is not accurate, has long delivery and runs a very simple offense.

He is athletic but not a qb!

We have one of those already

riley......jj was at the time recruited to be a project to compete for a spot after perrilloux was gone. they waited him out all the way until december of his senior season. he earned that scholly for sure, but he was not viewed as a guy who they thought was anywhere near ready to compete. things happened very differently and he has been able to step in and do some nice things for us. mike s on rivals confirmed that when i stated it during his recruitment.

by the way, jj has stated that the offense will be heavily influenced by gonzales as a coach, playcaller, and motivator. he is really excited to work with him and is gaining confidence. best of luck to him.

if rivers is a sure thing guy that we want to develop and get behind, i think oliver is a valuable option that can develop along with him. i agree that he can easily fix some mechanical things with his lower body. i think his arm strength is good and delivery is quick. like i said, his awareness and instincts stick out and those are attributes that great leaders carry.
