Pretty sure he's projecting it out saying that Randall will play over all the pocket passers even though they're "better."

Don't pick and chose when you're going to frame the qb situation properly and when it benefits you to frame it in other ways. Clearly, the narrative has been that, in general, a true dual-threat QB is always favorable to Les Miles over a one dimensional QB.

If I were a 5 star running back with a more speedy / shifty running style, I wouldn't go to LSU either. That isn't a stab at Les Miles is it? It's just simple logic, that Les Miles has PREFERENCES, and he PREFERS running backs that run straight ahead and try to smash defenders.

If you honestly don't think that other schools are using these arguments with recruits then you're insane. Your own emotions in this current QB situation is the only element that is 'stupid' in this argument.

God you're a prick.

I remember how Perrilloux started over Matt Flynn those years. Oh wait.. that didn't happen. I also remember how Hatch and JL got a chance to play before JJ did in 2008, even though neither of them are mobile threats. So the "narrative" that you think exists and some LSU fans think exists is complete bullshite.

The coaches feel JJ is better than JL period. If Keil is a better QB than Randall, then he'll play more. We're not going to play a worse overall player just because said player can run.

Your argument is becoming more and more ridiculous as you speak. Lots of things are said by coaches during recruiting visits. Whether they have any validity or not is a different issue.

Unless you think Randall is going to be better than Keil, then why would Keil worry about that? He's going to have competition no matter where he goes. He might as well get used to it.

Someone needs to show Gunner Brian Kelly on the sidelines. Pretty sure he just dropped the F bomb three times at Tommy Rees. Exactly what every QB wants in a coach

They didn't hate him in Cincy. They didn't hate him at CMU.

You have to remember that most of these guys are not his recruits. Theyre Weis'. I can understand if some of those guys hate him. But just because you saw Kelly drop a couple f bombs doesn't mean the players hate him. By that logic, McCarron must really hate Saban. Hell, most of his team mist hate Saban.

He's a prick and many lost respect for him when he said these weren't his players and that's why they were losing.

Except Tommy Rees is his recruit. You can't even start to compare Kelly to Saban. Kelly is just a straight arse all the time. At least Saban coaches his players after yelling at them. I never once saw Kelly even trying to talk things over with his players.

Kelly won't last more than two more years there

sounds like Kiel is heading back to Vandy next weekend for his official visit. According to Clay Travis, he would be Vandy's first 5 star recruit in their history.

Franklin is doing work. If Tennessee was smart, they would have fired Dooley mid-season and locked this guy up.

Damn that's crazy. Don't know if LSU has ever lost a recruiting battle to Vandy. Is LSU getting an official visit, or was Friday's visit the official?

unsure why clay travis is reporting this today as new news; keil has been planning the vandy OV since two weeks ago.

The only guy I can think of in football is Trey Champagne (OL from Covington), but he had a falling out with Denardo at Vandy and then transferred to LSU. Of course, the very next year LSU hired Denardo so Trey was screwed.

Personally when I hear this kid and his parents made an un-official visit (on their own dime) to visit LSU this weekend that's a good thing..

It's been reported that the whole family are football junkies. This was a game of "significance" (as Les Miles likes to say), so given an opportunity to enjoy what was likely front row seats for this match-up would be hard to pass up if it fit his/their calendar.

A little surprised there's been no reporting on his visit - though I actually think that could be positive. Maybe it messed with his head a little.

Would love to see him at LSU - seems like a real talent. However, my bet is ND. Guess we will see...
