Fairly connected. About as reliable as these kind of things are. Which is: better than a wild guess, but not set in stone.
Also, I sure hope this does not end up like Harvey Williams. he was set to pick aTm....and heard all the "Harvey to aTm" chatter...got aggravated ....CHANGED to LSU!

I'd like to believe Gino, but I bet it's just an educated guess/trying to read tea leaves.
I'm pretty sure Wiltfong has better contacts with Kiel since Wiltfong had the contacts to break the story of Kiel to Indiana. And Wiltfong is saying that even Kiel doesn't know yet.
My guess is that Kiel still doesn't know, since he said as much late last night.
Pretty interesting to follow though!

Gino is solid, so I believe a source did tell him that, but just got to hope the sources are solid..I remember the sources in Jernigan, Debose, and Richardson, and you just don't know what happens in the next few minutes in recruiting....A mom crying to keep their baby close, etc., etc. can have a big pull on a kid--as an example!

I don't know. Barkley, Clausen and Crist all got major hype and USC and ND were involved with those guys.
I think it's a combo of Kiel being fairly quiet, and being from Indiana. He may be a notch below those above guys based on film too, so that may be why.

I dunno, his film looks pretty damn good. I think GK could develop into the premier QB of the SEC and the NCAA!!!

I am sorry but this Gino guy is just trying to make an educated guess based on the last 48 hours. I mean the dude has 41 followers. Give me a break.
Wiltfong would most definitely know before some "southeast recruiting analyst," i can promise you that. He is talking to the family almost daily now and he legitimately believes it could be any team now. He use to think ND led, now it's anyone's guess.

take this fwiw, but apparently NOW ND is showing a lot of interest in a 4 star dual threat QB...(story broke today)

Did Kiel ever camp at LSU and got evaluated by Miles in person? Is he really that good or is the competition he is up against not up to par?
Kiel throws really good deep passes, but I couldn't help noticing that his offensive line gave him a lot of time in the pocket. Watching his highlight films, I kept thinking to myself "damn, he's hardly ever under pressure". Whatever the case may be, if he commits to the Tigers, awesome!!!

Sorry ND fan here and thought I'd jump in....Blair Kiel's aunt and my mom are great friends out here in Cali and the family says it is still up in the air. Part of the decision to stay in Indiana is the fact that his uncle Blair had a huge problem with home sickness when he went to ND and that was in state about three hours north. So the distance thing to LSU could be a problem for you guys. As an ND fan I hope he goes to ND but I think he would thrive a lot more in LSU's offense with the speed of your athlete's. ND with Kelly's offense is going away from the drop back quarterback and needs the option of a thrower/runner like Andrew Hendrix provided in spurts this year and like Golson another freshman can provide. They realize that even back to their last National Championship it was Tony Rice running the option and being a dual threat qb. Good luck to you guys....i have a suspision that he will be going to LSU.
