Defeintely not something that could be experienced at Notre Dame, unless the regular season game against USC counts. Weak.

I'd say they are pretty serious if the dude is already back on campus.

Seems like it.

I've done a horrible job following recruiting this year, so I'm way out of touch.

it seems we have made up a ton of ground on him recently. it will be hard to snag him from ND but you have to be optimistic that he is back on campus.

I know. Me too. I'm usually all into it and know all the players, prospects, etc.

This year, I've been so focused on the team that we have right now, I haven't been that interested in the team we will have in 2013, basically.

As for Gunner, you take the traditiona QB if he is good. Look at Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, etc. If they can distribute the ball to playmakers all over the field and are a little bit mobile, you can do the same things as with an athletic QB. Obviously, you don't want a statue back there, though.

pretty out of it myself. I'd agree ND seems like the team to beat, but their depth chart isn't much better than ours. Uphill battle, but it seems like we've got a legit shot here.

Absolutely. Too hard to take my eyes off the product on the field right now.

Watching Kiel's tape, he looks like Luck to me. Big in the pocket, pretty strong arm, but some mobility and athletic ability to scramble and make plays with his feet.

Basically, Miles' wet dream at QB.

Really...have you seen Luck play? He is very athletic and mobile

Do you take Keil or an athletic QB?

From all I have read, he is a dual treat QB.

When we defeat Georgia, we need to invite him back for the BCSNC game prep. Kid will be our good luck charm......for 5 years hopefully.

Just look at these names, Athletic QB is the way to go. They add too much to the offense for a defense to scheme for.

Tebow,
V. Young,
Vick,
Newton,

Leak, Flynn, Mauck and McElroy were all pocket passers and have BCS NC rings.

Just sayin.

I think gunner may want multiple rings and with this LSU team on its way and with Mett potentially being a one and done next year, i pray he does more than consider us!

Gunner isn't a dual threat qb, but he can be elusive and mobile if he has to be. He's not just a pure pocket passer. This is all great news, especially after Les was talking about how getting a qb in this class is vital.

Don't need a QB who could run a 4.5 40. Just one who has escapability, not afraid to take a hit, and can run the option.

Those three all had a good bit of mobility.

Hell, we beat Tennessee in 01 because of Mauck's ability to run.
