What are you talking about? He was a composite 4 star on 247.

Those grades come mostly from camps. Some guys don't try their best at camps. Some guys are just better in games. Some guys develop late.

I beieve star rankings do matter in the big picture. However, it doesn't take into account for the level of competition these prospects comet against and it is only an evaluation of a prospect in high school. Alot of these high rated 3 stars are better than they're given credit. It also doesn't take into account how much potential a prospect has to improve with the right coaching and maturity. It is an educated guess at best and is wrong alot of times. Just ask wisconsin and other teams that fill their roster with nothing but 3 stars, yet are extremely successful. Some 3 star players are a perfect fit for a teams needs at their posit in and they come into their own under the right system and coaching. Stars are not the be all end all of recruiting. I can't tell you how many 4 and 5 star players have been busts, and how many 3 star players end up developing into top notch ball players. It's about filling your specific team needs and projecting a player into your teams needs, that is why good scouting and recognition of talent shouldn't be based on a sites star ranking, based on their personal opinion of a prospect, in the big picture. Orgeron does a great job of evaluating talent and potential of these players, that is why he always brings in great classed that produce on the field everywhere he's been. Even in his time at ole miss he had alot of talent on those teams, they were just at such a huge disadvantage bc of LSU, bama, and auburn that they couldn't compete. At the end of the day, I will trust orgerons opinion about a prospect over some sites opinion, all day every day. The man can spot talent.

He was a 4 star and was almost a throw away in that class because there were bigger names ahead of him (Saivion and Kristian). A&M made a big push for him late after he had been committed for a while because they thought he would get scared by the numbers game. Thankfully, the staff stayed on him and got him to stick.
