we been in alot of contact with with lsu lately ,realy cam, he 's compareing my kid to randle el, i kind of see why, d ray has never been coach, so now he has one , same thing we did with darrel willams last year , doing with d ray, talent is there ,just have to teach him reads and so forth ,kid has a 4.1 gpa ,23 on act, he 's good to go, so we been working out everyday, everyday, fundementals ,footwork, drill after drill, cause this kid can be a weapon,

just for example . these kids ran 4.60 laser two ago, d ray ran a 4.52 laser as a 9th grader, been running consistent 4.3 hand times this year with a strong arm .

maybe he's lsu, maybe he 's not , but his skill set is amazeing ,quick like skyer green, unreal speed, and a big arm , he 's 16yr's 5'11and lil change bare feet, but i love em ...if he grows over summer ,la could have the sleeper in the country... 4.3 big arm , threat to hit a home run anytime.

here's lil tidbit of workout, very small sample

He looks like a solid athlete. Really light on his feet.

yea this. i'd rather have a high school coach with some actual info posting here, rather than two bit speculation of all sorts of off base bullshite info. i don't care if he sort of types how kids talk. i can understand it perfectly. it's not a fricking essay contest.

Thanks for posting Coach. Like what I see. Love the quick release and throwing motion on the the run.

BTW: Is this at Hoss Memtsas stadium West Jeff? Just curious. I went to school there my Senior year.

thank you , thats all it is ,one thing about coaching these kids here today, you have to relate, number one .It's not a black and wihte thing , but with things the way they are, kids feel better known that my coach understands me, might not have been thru what i have,or he may have ,but i know he is sincere and true to me . As coaches we are with these kids more than thier parents, often they will listen to us before anybody else ,if i told darrel not to attend lsu,he wouldn't have went there,at the end of the day ,the kids are what matters the most ,not a way a person is percived, writes,or what ever .Just live right, praise god,be the best person you can be everyday.

If only every high school kid had a coach like Coach Shawn, NOBODY promotes their guys like this guy! It may be a little too much for some, but I think this is a guy who is really in it for the kids and I respect that about him.

but back to d ray, you guys see how this kid can flick the ball across his body with no effort at all. i'm not as concerned with how tall he is, because our line avg's 6'3 297lb's and sees over them fine, but when he's on the run, he can flick it or take off.

coach how does he do on those deep outs? like 20 yards downfield to the outside. those are the throws that can separate the elite from the average. Do you expect him to grow and taller?

Thanks for posting, Coach. Like others said, I prefer reading stuff from people like you who actually know what they are talking about. He looks effortless on those long touch passes. Just a flick of the wrist, a nice arc, and it's on the spot.
