They went out of state to get away from mom. After her reaction can you blame either of them? Be honest.

I watched the coverage of the UA practices all week, as well as followed all of the twitter coverage religiously, and I never heard one thing positive or negative about Willis. Never even heard him mentioned. I heard plenty about Garret, Hand, Mcdowell and a few others. Anybody feel the same way? Jw, thought it was odd. Wish the kid the best.

Be honest.... OK yes I can blame them. She is all LSU but LC her son went to hated bama. Yet she goes watch him play... because he is her son and she loves him. Yes I can put it all on LC and not on her.

Obviously Freak is gone and maybe Ego, but man there is still a buttload of talent on our DL. Willis is still a huge loss but we've recruited pretty well at that position the last few years.

What we really need is another stud OL, preferably OT, to begin to finish out this class.
I'm confident our DTs we have can be strengthened and coached up, I just hate losing Willis because he's a real talent and he went to someone we play every year.
Then again, I'm beginning to think we never had a shot with him, likewise with his brother.

I've grown weary of the Landon Willis/Gerald Collins/April Justin show. Ready to move on. I think the whole fam damily is trolling us.

Has 504 commented on GW yet? Dont think he has posted.
Would like to hear his opinion.

Exactly.
I don't understand why everyone makes such a big deal out of her reactions. She is a die-hard LSU fan. All of a sudden she is supposed to be a Bama fan because her son decides to go there? That's silly. She can support her son and his success while still remaining an LSU fan.

Well, they have successfully trolled us. This is one of the things I hate about recruiting in the modern era - all the mind games.
Neither of those kids was ever going to go to LSU. If they would have just said that up front, and moved on, I would have a lot more respect for them. But the build up (and it can only be to feed their ego) and, seemingly intentional slight to the in-state school in a big, public fashion (LSU "fan" April Justin is now 0-2) on a big stage is just off-putting. Very off-putting.

OU beat Collins like a drum last night. I enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed the Bama beat down and watching Nick fight the tears in the post game interview.

from what what told to me, she is too much of an LSU fan for Gerald's liking… she evidently pumped them a little too much for his taste, and in an act of defiance (along with other things) he picked Florida… this is what was told to me by a source close to both Speedy and Gerald… still makes no sense to me, but it is what it is...

Losing Willis hurt, no doubt. However we still have some very young and hungry talent at the Tackle position. It's time for Bain, Gilmore, Johnson and Thomas to step up. I know we kicked LaCouture inside towards the end of the season so there's him as well. Perhaps even see if Herron can move inside on passing downs. Either way,

Right and that is why she said on National TV she doesn't like the decision to leave the state. Think then type. It works better in that order.
She is more than happy with her kids going out of state. Mom knows the game and blowback so they kept LSU close to the vest. Her cheers for LSU fall on deaf ears dude. It's a calculated move to protect her.

Reading the tea leaves, Gerald Willis was recruited to UF by Hunter Dale. Take it for what it is worth.

Maybe she should move there too. He didn't look too happy with his decision. Hope he chokes on it. If you want to go oos. Go but don't troll your home state team and drink all the free koolade for years first. That's what's wrong. We will be fine without him.

The safety from Curtis?
Posted on 1/4/14 at 6:17 pm to LsuTool
Yes. Very good info from Mike Detillier on Mosconas show thurs. hunter and GW III work out together at Sonic Boom on the westbank and Hunter has UF ties. That's where Detillier speculated that the UF interest came from originally.
The final nail for LSU was being able to play DE at UF. No sources, just putting this together.

no, he wasn't… that is some stupid arse shite that Detillier latched onto TRYING to formulate a reason to make sense of Willis going to Florida…
he was on 104.5 Friday afternoon saying the same stupid shite, trying to "connect the dots"… would that happen to be where you heard this? and it wasn't Hunter, it was Hunter's dad, who owns the gym in Harahan that Willis works out at….
