How do you know that these schools are looking at him? Pretty cool.

Too bad we only offer scholarships to kickoff specialists and Australian punters.

Gavin is #4 in country and #1 in LA for kickoffs. He is averaging 57 yards now. You can go to www.nationalcampseries.com and look up class of 2019 to view all information.

he needs to get rid of the 2in tee. Lots of kids can kick with a tee. and hopefully someone will teach him better leg movement, he is not using it like a whip yet. Hope he figures those two out.

I've never seen a junior high kid that doesn't use a 1 or 2" tee. You should know that this kid was in 8th grade last year kicking on the varsity team as the starter. There are high school athletes using a tee.

Thanks for the downvote.

I'm actually not knocking the kid if it came off that way.

If he is a life long soccer player he would be better off getting to the ground earlier. The difference in the sweet spot on a soccer vs football is less than a half inch. But adding the tee creates a tougher transition

As a former kicker... In high school you almost have to use the tee bc of the conditions of some fields grass

Gavin was invited by an LSU recruiter to kick at their July 19th camp. He did very well. He kicked in front of coaching staff and Les. They said they were very impressed especially for his young age.
