I'll go out on a limb and say forget the "seems to be..." and "appears to be..." He DOES have a good head on his shoulders and IS an intelligent young man. Will be a two-time All-American O-Lineman at LSU!!

Wow... When I came out of HS I was still a kid. Brumfield is already thinking and acting like a man. He's going to be exceptional!

this....bigtime. it takes many kids years to achieve true balance....Garrett Brumfield is light years ahead of so many of his peers. great get.

Seems like a smart guy with his head on straight. Love to get character representing LSU. We seem to have a lot of character in this class.

Has been tutored by a great guy in Mahaffey. It's noticeable in the type of character players that he's sending into the collegiate ranks.

Chad is a good coach and a good guy. I take none of that from him. But, what has been instilled in Garrett came directly from his Mom and I. Never get that confused. We started with him from the time he entered the world.

Wild man. No doubt. Your son is a great ambassador not only for lsu but for all young men. I hope my sons grow to be as courteous, intelligent and passionate as he is.

Congrats to you and yours!

He is confident... a young man who stands on his own two feet while choosing his words wisely. His athletic ability is a gift, but his character is a representation of the effort and consistency from his parents. Congrats to you and your wife on a fine young man.

Is it just me or do we have a lot of high character guys committed this year?

Holy crap...Garrett Brumfield.

He sounds more mature and polished than many new college grads I know. Props to his parents, whom ever they are.
