I've got a question not recruiting related, well sorta (in name only):

How is his first name pronounced? I've already watched the video with Lyons and Jimmy already about the 7-7 Opening at Oregon and every time they both sound like they're saying Gerald.

My hearing must be slipping or my brain is, I guess it's time I start taking Geritol.

Would someone post the phonetic spelling and is the G pronounced like G or a like a J?

I'm going to watch the Opening today @ 6pm on ESPNU today but I'm not sure they'll pronounce it correctly either.

What??? (Lil John Voice)

"LSU offered me like three weeks ago," McDowell said. "That gets that pressure off my shoulders now because I'm from Louisiana. They are my top school. It's my home state, they send a lot of players to the pros, great coaching staff -- good D-line coach."

quote:

It would be great to play for LSU, because I could have all my family and friends come and see me," he said. "It would be a great opportunity. I have a great relationship with Les Miles. So it would be great."

Anyone think we see him switch to FB ala Copeland? I mean this guy fits the bill maybe even more so than we saw and heard about from Copeland in high school. (Undersized and super quick first step)

Didn't everyone say the same thing about Copeland?

Either way I think this kid will be a solid player where ever he is.

Hopefully it's for the good team.
