Gabriel Reliford is getting overshadowed and maybe a Tiger too

With all the justifiable excitement over Bussey and Miller, I think a lot of us missed the situation with Gabriel. Wasn’t his dad an LSU player? Before all this news broke Shay basically said on On3 that he was going to get together with this dad and decide and he felt very good about LSUs chances but wasn’t going to do a crystal ball or anything yet.
He seemed to insinuate that he was going to be the first and most likely to flip to us.
Could we go 3/3? Obviously a meatloaf deal on this world be huge but it looks like all 3 of these guys are honestly in play right now.
That must have been one hell of a visit. Good job tigers !

Bussey is more important, with the potential loss of both elite cb commits. But by no means is this kid overlooked. He's a dt , a LA kid... and atm commit. We get him in the boat it is HUGE. We have massive needs at dt and cb. More we can fill with quality cb and dt eases that.

Just reading tea leaves, I think he is going to be with us in the end, if he isn’t already with us. If Miller commits and sticks we are going 2/3 at worse.
I am sure we are putting together a package and working out details and his dad wants to me sure he gets the best deal, but this kid looks like a future Tiger to me

You never know but I didn’t know about his dad. I think shay said he wasn’t going to put in CB on flip as Gabriel hasn’t decided and doesn’t even know what he wants to do right now, but he liked our chances etc. Clearly he knows something. And this kid is a commit.
If we match his deal, and we will, I like our chances too.

Hes not being overlooked just that things aren't really trending our way in any significant way. Not one insider will honestly tell you different. They are all hedging beyond the positivity of him visiting. A lot like the summer narratives hopefully with different results. Some have faith the staff can close this class out strong, others need to be shown. Nothing wrong with either stance imo.

Im sure LSU has to be telling these recruits that the current A&M staff is all going to be fired within a year or two. That’s just common sense at this point.
