well if you (like me) take offense to him calling out Randle when he has no clue what he's talking about (and by your reply, it appears you don't like what he said) then you can request attention to that post for a flame or personal attack and the amins will erase it.

That stuff doesn't belong on here.

Well, I know I'm gonna get flamed big time for this, but. I'm concerned that the guy is a prima donna kinda of the Terrell Owens school of thought. I mean, what if he doesn't get the number of touches during a game he thinks he should get? After all, he is a star and all and the coaches and the team owes him for coming to LSU. If the guy REALLY doesn't know what he wants to do at this point, what does that say about his mentality. Not very mature, IMO. I'm just sayin.

I get what you're saying, but...

This kid has an opportunity to go play ball and get an education pretty much wherever he wants. That's a lot of opportunity for an 18 year old kid. Yes, he may want to come to LSU, but until he really sits with everyone and looks at his future, he won't be sure. I'm sure he was a semi-LSU fan or whatever, but that doesn't mean he's always dreamed of suiting up in purple and gold. I respect his decision to go wherever, but I will be disappointed if he leaves the state. Will I be down? Sure. Will I hate him? Absolutely not. He's objectively looking as his next 3 to 4 years, and there's nothing wrong with that at all.

NFL scouts already know about him

Agreed, IMHO, I just think scouts like to see kids go up against tougher competition for 3-4 years. It makes their jobs easier, less guess work involved.

Less guessing = less misses on high draft picks
less misses on high draft picks = job security/larger salaries & higher bonues

OK, I'm not responding to ANY more posts on RR to McNeese. We could argue this all day. It's kinda like the 5-star vs. 2-star...yes, some make it to the NFL, the #'s favor the other way though.

Everyone feel free to dump on me after this post (on this subject)...I give up....you're right

Yep, I'd like to see him at LSU too. He's a very talented player, no doubt about that. I realize also that everyone wants to make sure they make the right decision....the player, the family, the coaches...everyone.

But...by now you'd think that everyone would have looked at all the schools they were interested in, talked it over and made their decisions. Why must it be a last minute, last second thing?

Actually, I think I read that this kid was not a big college football fan. I don't think he grew up a huge Tiger fan....for what it's worth.

That's what I was hinting at. He may not really care too much for LSU or its traditions so it isn't just that easy to pick.

With Lsu coaches as well as other schools at Bastrop recruiting the last 3-4 yrs with the talent there, you're still trying to say Randle did'nt realize he was college material until now and he didn't like college football. If the knowledge of a Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium, the history of what LSU means to the state of Louisiana, and being from Louisiana doesn't stir a Louisiana highschool player to want to grow up and play for the Tigers, then I don't know what will!

I'm not gonna argue wif you over this. I'm telling ya what I read. I don't know the kid.

I've actually read about a few recruits who claim not to be big CFB fans. I don't get it either, I'm just telling ya what I read. You cipher what ya want out of it.

I agree totally and add only that I would expect my child to do exactly the same thing, unless he was absolutely sure where he wanted to go. This is very likely the BIGGEST decision the kid has had to make in his young life thus far. Good luck Rueben.

Randle is visiting Alabama this weekend. in that article, he said he was coming up here Friday. But some people on the UA campus are reporting that he is already there today(thursday). FWIW

Does this really mean that he'll have no problem playing second to Julio Jones for the next few years?

BDE: Most of the so-called experts say you have narrowed your choices down to LSU and Alabama. Is there any truth to that? No. Not really. Those are two of the top schools I'm looking at ,but I still have other schools I'm looking at also.

Alabama and LSU are the 2 schools in play. The rest of the interview really means nothing. It's like saying I am looking at the NE Patriots and the Pittsburg Steelers, but I am still thinking about Detroit or Oakland. He will be in Crimson or Purple and Gold next year!

Hope it's Purple and Gold! Tiger stadium will be electric if he comes.

I was at Bastop before the last hurricane staying with my cousin a few days. Great football town and great football program. My cousin owns 2 Napa stores around there, not sure if one is in Bastrop or not though.
