Four more players leave football team. How many scholarships do we have now?

Don't know, doesn't really matter either. We are not going to have an over signing problem.

How is it four more when it's the same guys we already knew were leaving? More would imply that its someone else.

There were rumors that he got passed up and was looking elsewhere. Other rumors that he lived up to the "little badger" moniker and loved the ganja. No one knows for sure.

I think we had 14 seniors walk on senior day and Connor Neighbors stayed. Making 13.

We have 6 who have "left" making 19 and then we had 6 leave early for the draft (7 if including alfred blue, but he is already in the list of seniors).

That would put us at 25 exactly.

I saw that on NOLA.com and came over here to check and see if anyone had comments on how it might effect recruiting. It opens up extra scholly's, and I think this is a good sign. I kind of read the tea leaves on which athletes are being recruited heavily, and compare that to remaining scholly's a lot. When there are only a few openings left and the coaches are going after guyswho look like a fallback option I figure they see the writing on the wall with a top player and are looking to replace him. With more slots to fill I think maybe they are trying to get the top guy and another guy too, not either or. Hopefully we get a few of the top names on the board and find a couple of quality three star diamond in the rough guys too.

How many of those 14 seniors were on scholly?

Just helps get this class in and if we don't fill them all, adds to how many we can bring in next year. I choose the latter unless they are all studs. No reaches.

Sandolph is a little puzzling. Anyone know the backstory on him? He was said to be looking good in practice and only a rising soph.
