Look at my post history. I’ve been positive about the direction Brian Kelly has this team in, as well as LSU in general. Sorry my opinion doesn’t fit in with the masses at the current moment, but it does not mean I’m a negative fan.
Again. I hope we land this kid. And if he reclassifies to 23 and commits I’ll be pumped, but don’t confuse an opposing opinion that doesn’t pump sunshine with someone who has a negative outlook on LSU.

A previous poster in this thread stated he may be classifying.
I have no idea if he is

All of this is bullshite. You said he will most likely end up Florida or Bama. I’m willing to bet you don’t know shite and you’re just talking out of your arse. My whole “he’s wearing a gold and purple shirt to an official visit to Florida vs LSU” is more than anything you’ve brought to the table. Are we going to land him? Who knows. My point is you don’t know shite either.

Is it surprising that I’m sharing my own opinion of a recruit on an LSU message board meant for fan opinions?
I’m not sure who pissed in your cheerios this morning but I think you may need to take a step back and realize that the majority of posters on this website don’t know shite but like to share their own opinions.
As for your yellow shirt argument, it wasn’t an LSU shirt and there are more than 1 yellow teams in the country. Including pro and high school football. Yes, I disagree with your view that him wearing a yellow shirt to a Florida visit is not a troll nor an indication that he’s planning on coming to LSU. I even provided you an example of what a recruit trolling would be with Toviano.
I hope that my OPINION is wrong and that he ends up at LSU, but my confidence is lacking as we haven’t secured a big time CB commit since Ricks.

I agree and Toviano could very well be trolling LSU by doing that. Kids these days are all about clicks and social media followings. That would do it.

I hope you’re wrong too. I’m not going to sit here and say he’s coming to lsu because of the color of shirt he wears to a Florida visit either. It’s interesting, that’s all. And in my opinion we got one of the best CB’s in the country last year in Welch. His ranking slid because he was out most of his junior and senior seasons, but he was offered by all of the top teams in our conference and the country.

Toviano is definitely not trolling. Shea and everyone says he’s quiet and is not an attention seeker. He is very refreshing actually.

The kid is a Derek Stingley / Patrick Peterson level talent.
That’s two different levels. Which is it?

Curious what order you are insinuating haha
Surely not dogging a top three pick

I’m certainly not dogging Stingley, who I think was one of the top 5 corners LSU has produced in the last 20 years. However, I posted before he was drafted that anything above the #10 pick was valuing him too highly. Tre White and Patrick Peterson were both better than Stingley, and White was not nearly as good as Peterson, who is in a class by himself among LSU corners.
In the years since Peterson was drafted, corners have become more valued by the NFL, and they are spending higher picks on them.
Stingley left LSU with significant technique deficiencies, which I pointed out throughout the 2019 season. He was a great college corner, and I’m sure he’ll be a great pro. But unlike Peterson, who thoroughly dominated everyone he covered in college, Stingley was schooled by the best receivers he faced, and I don’t think he faced anyone as good as Peterson faced.

Stingley had great technique. He had issues with tackling and avoiding contact, but his technique on outside coverage was as good as I’ve seen.

lol don't even sweat it dude - there's no reasoning with some of these people. Anything that isn't full-steam-ahead everything-is-the-absolute-greatest-it-could-possibly-be optimism will get destroyed on here.

As opposed to the rant where only the most negative of opinions are worthy of starting a thread about.

Sounds good, ginormous, I just type the word to see if it was misspelled, used it a lot, didn’t know it was a real word, guess I’ve never written it before

I disagree. Calling it bad technique is an exaggeration, but he pretty regularly bit on things and got the wrong leverage because of it and only "won" because he was more athletic than the guy he lined up against.

Ok. Lol. You don’t get drafted where Stingley got drafted despite not playing much for 2 years, if you aren’t perceived to be a very elite corner. his pre-draft in depth scouting reports from those that evaluate NFL prospects for a living say it all.
