This is a depth piece. As long as they still get Anderson no problem with this. Guessing LSU is likely going to have more transfers after this.

Gotta believe guys like like Parker, Watkins, and Billiot are ready to emerge, and Hill is simply bringing in more depth and competition for the future. Can't keep pushing ascending Sophs and Juniors down the depth chart (and into the transfer portal) unless they simply aren't as good as we hoped.
Starters
Brown
Hilton
Anderson
Green?
In the Rotation
Thomas
Parker
Watkins
Billiot
Hill
Incoming Freshmen
Francis (ready for PT in yr 1?)
Wright
Ideally we have an elite upperclassman as WR1 each year. With Brown and Hilton (and possibly Anderson) gone after 2025, the remaining talent for 2026 is unclear at this point. It seems reasonable to shop around for another dude who can compete for that role in 2026. Not sure if we need him this portal season though. 2025 depth chart looks fine to me.

Honestly do not get this signing. But hope it works out well

Is it not? How many spots do we have?
Assuming we take Anderson, a safety, the VaTech center, potentially another TE, etc.
There's a whole additional portal window in the spring. You think LSU won't purge guys in the spring window if they need to make room for a guy they want in this one?

I see Hilton rolling out with this new blood coming in.
Just my opinion, but he's not guaranteed a starting spot with the stable we have at the moment.

My guess is 2 years. Might have a 3rd.

Player is likely Tawfik Byard out of USF, safety. Currently on a visit
The info that was given to me was before Byard made it to campus, so I’m not sure if that’s who he was referring to

Anyone know his story? Why he sat out two years before enrolling at FSU? I assume that means he is an older player which is even better

The guy has been hurt his entire career. He will probably get hurt again. If he leaves who cares, if he stays, hopefully he can stay healthy.

Jacksonville State safety just committed to Miami.

Downvote away, but I hope we didn't expend much resources on this guy. Seems like a wasted roster spot, especially given the amount of WR talent currently in the portal.

Edna Karr WR Pipeline. That makes 3

Just take the whole 2024 Karr team. Best team I have seen in a while. If Stewart played for them, doubt anyone in Nation could beat.

Seems like LSU passed on him out of high school, I wonder what changed? Seems like there's a part of th story I'm missing. Anybody know the story?

Hill signed a long time ago, been a coaching change since then. He was in the class with Deion Smith, Hilton, BTJ, and Nabers. Nabers was the "borderline" offer in that group so that staff chose wisely.

Yep just a year that Louisiana was loaded at WR and we took Smith.

Forgot Bech was in that group too. Crazy thing is Smith was the big prize.

I’m still on the wagon that Parker is going to be the best 1st rounder.
If he wouldn’t have gotten hurt, I think he would have broken out this year.
