that class had a 3.58 average. i'd be curious to see what bama's average for that class is now that several 4 stars are gone, i'd bet there isn't much of a difference between miles "weak class" and bama's "greatest class of all time"

Who are the four stars that are now gone?

So my question remains...was lsu's class last year full of a bunch of average joe's?

At the end of the year we will have 3-4 five stars and about 13-14 four stars.

ANYTHING BUT AVERAGE!

dude, you only hope its that good

secondly, last years class was fairly average for LSU recruiting but it was a borderline top 10 class and there were several players very underrated. SO to say it was average, especially compared to the rest of college football isnt accurate. Average for a top 25 program, yes. And yes, last year at this time there were people complaining that our class was average.

If Alabama has a class that finishes around 10, then it is average for the program you think you are.

Really stars arent everything and its sad that you have to come here and justify to LSU fans that your class is more than it is because our class was average last year.

ETA: I don't think "blowing off" means what you think it means.

So your class was not average due to guys being underrated, yet the same cannot be said for ours...amazing.

Just out of curiosity. Do you have a recruiting national championship t-shirt?

I have officially become dumber from reading this post...Saban has been very opportunistic and there is no where for Alabama to go but down. Improving is expected. They are paying a coach a salary as if he won the national championship there already. If they do get better and compete for the SEC and/or NC, he will get credit for doing what he was suppose to do. If not, holy crap is it going to be a field day. I think deep down you bama folk know this and are just overcompensating with your aggressive Saban rules BS. He is a great coach however he will fail at Bama unless he brings the old dynasty back. Think that is going to happen in the SEC these days?

Again, see my earlier post. When your fanbase walks around with t-shirts asking "Got Recruits", then you open yourself up to a lot of bashing. And since this year's class will not be as good, and LSU's will be better, people feel the need to retaliate.

Does that explain it? Are you a fricking moron?

its not done yet, and I am sure you have some underrated players, but probably some overrated as well as you are rivals darling.

I actually said, to paraphase, that our class was average for a top program but stars and rankings arent really an indication of how good players will be but rather how good someone thinks they will be or are. SO, it will take three years to find out how average or good our class really was. Personally I feel that some of the players were underrated and therefore it will end up being a good class once the players mature and hit the field.

Vince Young doesn't fit Saban's offense you morons...neither does Pat White.

You are an idiot. You have no clue what you are talking about.

The Great Saban recruited Vince Young as a WR and Pat White as a CB.

I think the bigger deal is that they lost five of the best players in the class.

But at least they get rid of all those granny-raping Shula recruits.

That's my point. If you have a talent that is so good, you take them and play to their strentghs- which is exactly what UT did with Young. Ask USC how that turned out.

Devonta Bolton, Melvin Ray, Destin Hood, Kerry Murphy, Jermaine Preyear.....

These are by far not the 5 best, and the only one who might have sniffed the field was Hood. Bolton, Murphy and Preyear will all be on campus in January and will enroll in the spring. Ray/Hood went to make a lot of money in the bigs, cannot fault them there.

We didn't "lose" anyone this year...nobody we lost was supposed to be a contributor so get your facts straight.
