He really is starting to remind me of Collins..Alabama/LSU race. Open to both schools, wants to wait until the under armour game to announce now.

True but Collins is a guy that would have been key to have. Losing Beckwith isn't really that large of a loss. I would think it is more like Devall in that he is better suited for a 3-4 defense with his insistence to play LBer

I think Beckwith could be that special LB that fills in for Minter instantly.

I think the opposite. But that's just me.

I thought he also wanted to be an outside LBer to be able to rush the QB

Personally I like Jones more. Both could play LB or DE in the 4-3

I'm with Prom on this one. He just doesn't seemly jump off the page.

I don't find the hype to be near as high. I think he is a quality prospect but nowhere near the specimen Collins was. That being said, I would love to have him but would not be the least bit surprised to see him go, especially with the rumored Jack LB pitch Saban's hitting him with.

I just think his size and explosion combo plus he knows the leadership qualities of being a QB would make him a great Mike.

Are Devall, Beckwith, and Nkemdiche all planning to play Jack LB for bama?

I think Beckwith is gonna follow that 3-4 D like Duval did. He would be a good edition to our class though, IMO.

With Saban pumping smiley faces and rainbows up their butts, I guess so. You would think these kids would see what is going on here but they just keep drinking the kool-aid.

What is going on here, Sanchito? you mean Saban promising every kid with a torso the jack LB position? or Saban developing top 10 draft picks at LBer?

I'm talking about the whole Jack LB pitch deal he's got going on. He does develop talent well, I can't deny that, but these kids can't be naive enough to think that they all are going to be Saban's next superstar, especially with the classes he has been hauling in lately.

I done think it's a huge concern to lose him although people on these boards will freak out hard that we lost the top player in the state again, however considering we signed 6 linebackers last class and good ones at that he isnt high on the priority list. I really like him probably more then most cause I think he is a future stud pass rushing linebacker off the corner but I have trouble seeing him as anything more then a situational guy here if he is bent on linebacker. If he wants to bulk up and play end then that's a horse of a different color

The only LB I would put him over for now from last year's class is Trey Granier. I would rather the others over him
