Shepard is much further along as a passer than Terrelle Pryor was at this stage, and Shepard is more explosive. He's the type of player any college program would want to get his hands on the ball as often as possible because he is a gamebreaker. He will be given every opportunity to remain at quarterback, but also has the elite skills to play a number of spots which gives him possibly the biggest value of any prospect in this class.

How do they compare Shepard and Pryor in explosiveness. I've watched a few videos on each, and they both seem like they blow by the opponents equally?
It doesn't really matter to me as an OSU fan if Shep ends up being a great player. I hope he is cause that just makes CFB that much more fun and exciting overall. However, to say these things just seems to be a way to stir the pot.

With all due respect to Pryor, he's nowhere near the runner that Shepard is. Pryor's got the prototypical frame that Shepard will never have though.
ETA: Not sure if you've watched any of Shepard's highlights, but basically imagine what would happen if you dropped Pat White (now) onto a Texas high school football field.

I bleed P&G but to think that LSUs class is on par with USC's at this point is ludicrous.
Considering that USC has 5 players with a 5-star rating, sure they have a superior class at this time, and that is reflected in this rating.
USC has five players in their top-50, while LSU has only two, and that doesn't include Davenport.
The fact that USC and LSU both have 9 players in their top-150 just shows how deep our class is this year, which is a fact.

Well, he's (actually) closer to No. 44 in the nation than No. 30 in Louisiana. And no, I will not let that die...yet...

Connor is going to be a beast. Miss St is going to be a very good team here in a few years and MC is going to have a lot to do with it. He is definitely high up there.

They better stock up on OL b/c you know they are planning to feed him the ball 25-30 times a game.

They don't give out trophies for best recruiting class, so I'm really not going to get bent out of shape over whether USC is ranked ahead of LSU or where a particular kid falls on this list. It's a list of damn good players. Lsu will probably snag 10 percent of the players listed. Think about that! 1 out of every 10 stud players in the country will attend LSU. Les will have a DAMN STRONG football team for at least the next 5 years.
Fear the hat!!!
