Just curious, other than his step son playing for Bama is there any other reason that everyone says Crutchfield is so pro Bama or anti-LSU? I know the Holmes/Davis deal, but what, if anything has Crutch said/done against LSU? I know he has a rep for running up the score, onside kicking all the time and was in trouble for a comment made to or about a female student. But, what exactly has he ever done that's so anti-LSU?
Not saying he's not, but I really don't know. Was there some bad blood over Sylve's recruitment or some other PS kid he coached? Is it just that he's a Saban guy? Did a google search on him, but all i get are stories about him taking the St Aug job and some threads from this board

I think you nailed it pretty good, why is his stepson at bama???

IDK? Because its a great program and I heard LSU didn't give him a committable offer

Was CC pissed we didn't offer? Was he like Noel Ellis Sr? I'm asking. We had Landry and OBJ, did we need 3 just under 6' fast WR's in one class?

We did offer, and about 30 other schools did also, but he chose bama?????????????????????

Sylve didn't seem to mad when we stopped recruiting him. I think he understood that we weren't going to take him due to his injury and he saw a great opportunity at Bama and took it. And Crutchfield has never said anything bad about LSU publicly so if has badmouthed LSU it has been behind closed doors, which I doubt. I think most of this stems form Crutch having a recommendation form NS, while he also had a recommendation from Frank.

I don't think their recruitments will be similar at all. For one thing, I know Brossette's coaches have more integrity than to steer a kid to any school
That's not the point. The point is that LSU would sweat Fournette more if he was at a position where finding quality was harder (OL, DL, to name two...and especially QB). RBs fall off trees here and if they don't come to LSU like Hill, Hilliard, Blue, Collins and countless others, it's no big deal.
Alabama's starting RB for next year is from Dutchtown and he's a quality back but nobody at LSU is losing sleep over it. LSU will be fine at RB with or without him.

A recommendation for what?? For U of Alabama Pipeliner of the Year??? I think it was a package that you are thinking of, not a recommendation.

Crutchfield isn't the only staff member at South Plaq. with a son going to Alabama. It doesn't mean there is a connection, but they did work together for a while.
Burton Burns' brother is a Sugar Bowl committee member and former president, and sits/sat on several boards in New Orleans. Does he have any influence or affliation with St. Aug?
But we're talking about a RB and as long as Miles is here we will be loaded with them....with or without Fournette.

Wow. LSU is constantly recruiting kids with injuries (including two QBs this year).
AL never does it...
Yet when it comes to this strategic situation...

We need to get this kid, If nothing else to break that piece of shite Saban's ESPN love fest. I swear I hate that midget and all of gumpland.

With that said, he's a rb. dime a dozen. you don't get him, you will get someone who is very good and put up comparable numbers.
Not sure about dime a dozen but... Losing a great OL/DL would be WAY worse imo. The diference between the top RB and the 50th RB is not that great. The difference bewteen the top OL/DL and the 50th OL/DL is HUGE. There are only so many 6'4"+, 300#, athletes in the world.

It just pisses me off! We need to win the National Championship this year after totally dominating Bama in November!

Fournette has gone from making every camp at LSU since he was a freshman, and making literally dozens of unofficial visits to BR, to now "coach is handling my camps. Don't know if I'll make it to LSU this summer."
Huge change of tone, and fast.

This guy works for TIDE frickING NATION. Why do you give a shite what comes out of his mouth?
Take a step back and breath.
Alex's bio
So, he is a mouth breather from ESPN. That's bad enough. He also works for the Alabama site. Another bad sign. But he's new. SO ...

Also, the article doesn't give any indication that Bama is the team to beat.

For many in his family, it already has.

Yes, back in 2011, Saban knew St Aug's coach was going to leave for Tulane and that he could arrange to have his lackey hired at St Aug, all so he could steal the #1 RB in the 2014 class from LSU and convert him to LB. Bond villians don't have plans that devious

247 said a week or 2 ago he was set for LSU's July camp. Has that changed?
ETA: Was his cousin murdered 2 months ago? Maybe he is just looking to get out of the state?

Dude he will give them a run for their money now as high school Jr. He will play as a freshman wherever he goes.
