O knows how to evaluate talent
8 of the 12 "3 stars" everyone keeps crying about made the 300 as current 4 Stars..........
115 Cole Smith
207 Nadab Joseph
230 Chris Curry
249 Jaray Jenkins
259 Jarell Cherry
268 Nelson Jenkins
273 Chasen Hines
299 Davin Cotton
Looks like O out evaluated the scouting services..........

using espn to validate recruiting assessment is dumb.

They have Cole Smith at 115? That's crazy.

Maybe, but it's the service used on signing day. Shea Dixon of 247 also had a projection just yesterday pointing out most of the names above, plus AJ Carter, and said ratings bumps were coming when 247 updated their rankings.

AJ Carter out preformed Curry this week. Tells how these rankings are...lol It's like pinningthe tail on the donkey.

Those bumps plus adding the number 6 and number 9 overall, and also five stars, should like a lot more like what we are used to as lsu fans...

Yep, kinda kills the current narrative on this board doesn't it?

So you are saying four didn't ? OMG, all is lost.

Exactly... And then after their senior seasons, some of these guys will undoubtably rise even higher. Some may fall but that's the way it goes. I think it's pretty ignorant to judge our coaches who have been doing this for years even if these guys don't get the bumps you just have to trust our coaches. Add Surtain, Marshal, and then possibly another 2 5* guys during our season and you have a top 5 class when it's all said. Add 2019 is already looking like a top 5 and you have 3 consecutive championship type classes filled with much needed depth, quality depth. Our fans can be so darn ignorant. HTTDB

Surtain at 6
Marshall at 9
Keys at 102
Lets hope we can get them

At the moment I dislike Rivals more than ESPN. ESPN also has the most accurate ht/wt measurements and is the only service that includes testing numbers on recruit profiles.

ESPN for years has been the laughing stock of the recruiting site world.
They are far from experts ... its like saying you are getting your recruiting news from MSNBC.

Espn is the 2nd best recruiting site behind 247

Remember when people used to hate ESPN's evals?

Things have definitely changed with the other recruiting services. You have Rivals with Mike "Fournette doesn't have breakaway speed" Farrell, and Scout which is basically giving away subs to increase their members list. They are about to merge with 247 so we'll see how that goes.
