Bringing in Sage is huge! If we lost him, I thought might stall out but now that he’s in, this should give us a TON of momentum down the stretch.... our biggest targets are on deck (Leigh, Maason, Foreman). I think this is a big statement for those guys! Let’s GEAUX!!!!
RTWFU!!!!!

We won’t know Mason’s decision until early signing day, but I feel like BTJ and Foreman could commit at any time. Lets ride!

I’d love to close with those 3, Jack Bech, and another offensive lineman. That’s assuming we don’t lose anyone currently committed.

BTJ is gone I feel, unless the staff realizes that they have been making him less of a priority and more of oh he's a lock so let's not focus on him. Either that or he truly just wants to leave the state then there's not much you can do about that.

If we get Maason and one other of Leigh and Foreman I’d be happy.

Anything above that is Lagniappe.

As good as he is and as bad as I want him to be a tiger it’s weird that it won’t hurt if we lose him, deep at position and not taking much of a step back if we get Bech

Kind of lost in all the 247 news this week was a tidbit they dropped regarding BTJ and his renewed interest in LSU. Apparently teams negatively recruited us and had him thinking we wouldn’t maintain offensively, but what the offense has done, specifically Marshall, has really gotten his attention.

Would LSU take him and Bech if it came down to it?

He better commit quick then. Bech may beat him to the punch. Lots of people think Bech is the best receiver in the state anyway.

Think of Bech as more a second TE commit than the 4th WR. I think he gets put in that FLEX TE spot. He could stay at WR too, but I think that'll be the plan for him. A great blocker and already 6'2+ and 215, another 15-20 on him shouldn't be hard.

Thomas would be the 4th WR in class.

Here’s the exact quote from Shea:

quote:

I spoke to a source late Wednesday night about Brian Thomas Jr., and the vibe I got from someone in Walker was that LSU wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph has actually had a really strong month-plus with recruiting Thomas and his camp. The success Terrace Marshall has had is one that Joseph points to a lot given Thomas and Marshall are similar players. Marshall's had 14 touchdowns across the past seven games, and that's going from Joe Burrow to Myles Brennan to TJ Finley. There had been folks in Thomas' ear saying LSU's offense wouldn't be the same after 2019, but that's proven not to be the case, and Thomas has taken notice. I still think Alabama could hold a slight edge here and I am not counting out Texas A&M at all, but people even outside LSU tell me that the Tigers are far from out of the race. In fact, they are right there with the top group. Thomas has not revealed any plans for a potential decision date. Again, if I am picking today I would tab the Tide as having the edge, but LSU's very much in it.

Lemme ask you a serious question, is there anything that you do feel good or positive about when it comes to LSU recruiting at this point in time?

Didn’t you just say the same things a several hours ago, but insert Sage Ryan where you have BTJ

Yes, there is hope for BTJ. I'm just saying we should put our foot on the gas and never let it off for him. I'm not trying to be negative but I feel like if we really are still gonna be on him after bech then fully do it.
