With all of the surprises that are inevitable on signing day, it is no guarantee that Seastrunk will not come to LSU. However, scholarships are running out quickly and I hate to be this guy, but I suppose not cashing in on that top guy at RB can only be a positive for the next class. Hate to rely on that theory though because it always means you just missed out and are counting on what is not guaranteed.

i remember that lock starting to fade about a year ago when someone saw him wearing usc socks.

After watching film of Gore, I love the pickup. Seastrunk may be faster, but the history of the college and pro ranks is littered with RB's who had great straight line speed, but lacked vision, acceleration through the hole and cutting ability. You think Keiland Williams is not faster than Emmitt Smith was in college? I guarantee you that Williams is faster. However, who is the better running back?
Gore is running full speed by his second step, has great vision, and unbelievable lateral quickness, cutting ability and instincts.....the attributes of a great back that cannot be coached. And, despite his listed forty time, he outruns people and, despite his size, makes yards after initial contact. Furthermore, he threw a halfback pass on one play and appeared to throw the ball 50 yards in the air. Gore is a very versatile player. I would not be surprised at all if Gore is a more productive player in college than Seastrunk.

I agree with you. Gore has a great upside, and if LSU doesn't land another back has done well. His vision and quickness are elite.

Seastrunk doesn't have these? That said, so does Gore and I'm happy he's on board. Gore shows great power for his size and I think he has a chance to make an impact in the SEC. Somebody said he is like Knowshon Moreno, which I am more than happy with. Welcome aboard, Gore.

did anyone think we would land these guys from the beginning. I think we are set at rb either way.

Most informed Auburn fans have accepted that he's USC bound, fwiw.

No, to me it looks like Lache depends solely on trying to run around people. doesn't seem like he has nearly the vision Gore has

I'm frustrated with Lache and the other prima donas out there who play every body against the middle.

Who really cares about Seastrunk- the commits we have are good. If he doesn't want to be at LSU, so be it.

Lache please enjoy your college career where it might be... Now can everyone please move on?
Posted on 12/10/09 at 9:29 pm to pdaddy2005
Yes, I think we should move on & address other needs like LB & maybe OL with the last 2-3 recruits!

I'd consider it very accurate. Would be downright stupid to take 4 RBs this class with Hilliard and Hill (already committed) next year
No shite, I hear those two are gonna play quickly anyway..
Posted on 12/11/09 at 11:20 am to TigerFan55555
When did Hilliard committ? Did I miss this?
BTW, I care if we sign Lache!

Well, LSU hasn't moved on because they are obviously still recruiting him.

40 times for RB are a tad overrated anyway.
Emmitt Smith's 40 time was 4.55 and he did pretty well.
