given how his recruiting went down
What the hell does this mean?
It was terrible recruiting by LSU, as Les Miles didn’t think he was big enough and waited a long time to finally offer. Cam Cameron told Shea and his Mom that Shea would be the only QB LSU recruited two weeks before offering Felipe Franks, who committed soon thereafter.
This somehow got turned into Shea and his family being bad. Typical BS spewed by the ignorant masses.

Some of that may be true but none of us were a party to the actual conversations/visits that took place. So, to say my comments were BS is naïve. You do recall that his brother was on staff here as a grad asst. and then magically his brother was in an actual coaching position when Ole Miss offered. Remember this is on the heels of all of the other recruiting issues Ole Miss had with Tunsil and Nkemdeche. The appearance of shopping for the best deal for Shea and his brother was noticed at the time. Maybe Miles didn't want to pony up like Ole Miss did. Maybe he saw or knew things we didn't. All I can say is given the uncertainty of all of this makes me say NOT to bring him here. We made commitments to 2 other concensus 4* quarterbacks who have yet to be developed and start. We're in good shape for the future and don't need this mess here. Besides he may be one and gone anyway. Then what? You may run off one or both of the two you have now. Not worth it. He's hurt now so he's going to be damaged goods for a while anyway.

Yea. Shea only elevates LSU into conference championship contender. I agree. Not worth it.

adding this guy could seriously affect our team chemistry.

We’re losing our starting QB, 2 top flight RBs, top 2 WRs, and FB/TE.

And RUMORS we may get a new OC.

How much chemistry you think really exists now on the offensive side of the ball for next year???

Chemistry will get a reboot in the spring, with or w/o SP.

I never bothered to read this thread since the title says "home state school" but I'm surprised it's still going. Do people think we actually have a shot with him? And there are really people who wouldn't want him? What was the diagnosis of his knee injury?

I don’t know much of anything about the SP possibility of transfer. I was just answering regarding team chemistry on offense.

Rebooting your computer doesn’t do any good if the reboot software comes with a virus, just sayin

Don't forget his brother tried to steal a LSU playbook before heading to Oxford.

He has proven that he doesn't deserve to play at LSU.

He doesn't have the chest for it, some would say.

Well coaches remain coaches because of great players . It would be in o’s best interest to go after Shea and get him. That one player could set o up for several years to come. Like it or not the kid is real good. If he don’t try to get him here and he is very successful somewhere else while o struggles for the next few years o might be looking for a new job. That would be a damn shame when it can be avoided right now. O set yourself up for success. Go get the kid.
