From year to year, I hear fans bicker about this guy and that guy, who basically are just young guys. I know Bama fans that freak out if they lose any five star guys, but was wondering If LSU is doing pretty good filling its needs. I have not kept up this season and hope the Tigers find another hidden gem like Guice, Chark, etc.

Guice was no hidden gem. He was a 4 star and at one point a 5 star

Hope we can maintain a few more 7-8-9 win seasons. This season seemed like a good opportunity to win big before the Lambeau louse

This year and last year, ILB is really the only weak spot. We have gotten back to getting good O Line and D Line numbers and talent. We had a huge OLB class last year. They just have to figure out how to sell what's going on at ILB to impact recruits, and we will be good.

Idk, maybe I'm weird. Seems amazing to me that two very good QBs (one pocket and one DT) both rated 4* have committed to LSU. Pretty cool.

But yeah, the enigma is truly the fact that Aranda is a LB whisperer and the highly rated recruits keep giving LSU the finger. Not that it's an entirely huge issue, since Aranda will turn 3* guys into Sunday players. But the issue lies in the fact that having more college ready, highly rated commitments on board, lessens the learning curve and gets potential starters on the field much quicker.

This aspect is baffling. Too many kids who play LB are leaving LA (Young, Moses, Allen, etc), and we just don't seem to have a solid grasp on targeting guys and gaining commits. IMO, in today's CFB LB can be your most dynamic defenders able to make impact plays vs the run and pass. We need to right the ship at this key position and move forward smartly starting with the 18 rec cycle. (still think we can gain 1 more solid addition in 17).

Seems to me there is one stumbling block.

Beat Bama & it'll take care of it.

First of all, you're an idiot. Secondly we haven't had a 7 win season since Dinardo. And only a 8 win season twice in the last 10 years.

I think LSU is going to have a great recruiting class. That said - it's just a killer when you have a glaring position of need and you're losing elite talent at these positions. in your backyard to your main rival.

You can't be serious right? We have averaged 3 losses for the most part over the last 15 years. You act like we are always 0-2 losses and in the hunt.

I'm not saying it's what we want but don't act like we have a .900 win percentage.

No doubt, in violent agreement with you. Sure would be nice to hang a L on them at their place next Nov.

Its funny because dave aranda is a LB guru and probably the best DC in college but he isn't known for being a good recruiter his best recruit to date is a 3*

We will be alright. Finish with a top 5 recruiting class which is really good considering our #20 rating in the polls. Will be strong in the trenches. Deep at WR. QB play should be much improved with Matt Canada at the helm. Guice will continue to do his thing. Secondary will be strong. Aranda will make the best use of our talent in putting together a line backing core. I am braced for an exciting year with Aranda and Canada figuring out the X's and O's.
