Think he will try but this is LSU baseball and I'm not sure he's good enough. He doesn't have Chad Jones or Jameis Winston type stuff. Our baseball team isn't exactly lacking top flight pitching talent

He plans to play both sports at LSU according to an article in The Advocate last month.

Surely you jest. He is projected as a MLB draft concern. Maineri would find a spot. If bouman, reynolds, person etc. can pitch......you know the rest.

Are you sure?

It's been said he isn't even playing baseball this spring for his high school team

Mainieri has been a big selling point in process with Franks.

If he does try, it will be another cluster frick qb situation at LSU. There are many directions that could go and few a good.

Patterson is the take in this class and LSU is fricking it up again, IMO

Are you saying that if he chooses to play baseball it will affect him negatively?

According to MaxPreps, he pitched a grand total of four innings last season.

Not really. He barely pitched for his high school team last year. Everyone just likes to act like the sky is falling and predict the worst.

He's a good but not great baseball player. He has an excellent frame for pitching, but right now he's just pretty good. Who knows he could develop more and be really good in the future. Bit right now he is not close to the talent Zach Lee was.

Zach Lee wasn't that highly thought of St this point. His stock jumped big time his senior year.
