Do we take Kaufman today?

With Lorando out, wouldn’t be a bad consolation prize. There’s usually a kid like him every year and they turn out to be special other places (Ardarius Washington, Amik for example)

Witlong or whatever his name is said last night he thinks he sticks with Vandy, but Ole miss is trying to flip him.

I hope so. Kid is a baller but honestly it seems to be all wishful thinking on here. I haven't seen one concrete bit of evidence that he is even interested in LSU. Maybe that's just me

I dont think we've even offered Kaufman, have we? This board loves him (I love him too) but I didn't think the coaches were particularly interested

I like him a lot too, I just think we have other priorities first. But the kid can definitely play

he fits the same filler definition that Desmond Little did last year. Multiple people said they didn't want to take another prospect like Little just a week ago.

Not even close. Little was a huge project. The only reason this kid isn't a big time recruit is his height. He's very polished otherwise and a big time playmaker.
The situations aren't even comparable. One has the body and no skill, the other has skill and too short of a body.

that's bullshite. Malcolm Greene is listed as an inch taller and 15 lbs lighter than Kaufman on 247 and has offers from everyone.

No it isn't. Kaufman is a kid with proven results that doesn't have the physical measurables otherwise he would be a lot higher ranked. The same was said about Amik Robertson who was briefly committed to us if I recall correctly. He's proven to be a very good player at LA Tech.
If we had kept our commitment to him I have no doubt we beat A&M in 2018. We would not have been trying to convert WRs to CB or in such poor shape at CB.

Amik had a LOI from LSU on NSD, he chose to honor his LaTech commitment....
