This latest set of commitments now gives LSU 4DBs. So do we now take 6 DBs and just go after Surtain and cook? If we do this what position do we take away from for this recruiting class?
I don't think we should take 6 but this is shaping up as a potential possibility given the high profile offers we have out right now.

some guys are going to get bumped. Taking 6 DBs would be ridiculous considering we have bigger needs.

5 is the number. You must be assuming we hold on to all of our current commits which is 50/50 in today's world of recruiting.

Eventually recruiting will have to shift to the offensive side of the ball. We need a stud RB and a couple receivers who can step on and contribute as freshmen. Defensive wins championships but you have to field a decent offense too!!!

The Safety from Miami doesn't hold an offer from the U. I'm thinking that if that offer comes, we may not hang onto him. Then there's still Surtain Jr, Anthony Cook and Jalen Green out there.

I seriously doubt that you tell any of those 3 no. Going to be interesting.

We are pushing hard for Surtain & Green cause we're in great position w/those 2, imo if something happens with Joseph then we go much harder for Cook. KT2 & DJax are both candidates to be the next J.Collins & leave w/minimal starts(though i doubt it). We take 6 at minimum if we hold onto everyone & having maybe 30 schollys i wouldn't be surprised if they push for the Devonta/Corionne combo deal.

With Canada's rushing attack could it be our running back is in either Louisiana already or Mississippi?

Fabian Franklin, Tony St. Julien and Anthony Williams are all excellent options for Canada's rushing attack. Especiallt St. Julien with his speed and excellent hands

We "could" take 3 safeties and 3 pure cover corners if the rumour is true that LSU could sign up to 29 schollies in this class.

That's what could make this recruiting class very different from past classes.

We grabbed 5 CBs and 5 safeties over the last 2 classes. Add in X. Lewis at NB, and you have 11 DBs in 2018 B4 the new class. If we grab just 2 safeties and 2 corners, you are looking at 15 DBs in 2018 and none will have more than a year of starting experience, so even the thought of any of the eligible ones going to the draft after 2018 wouldn't make sense.

10 in the trenches, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 QB, 3 ILB, 2 OLB, 4 DB, that gives us 26. If our number is 27 or 28, I'd like that to go to something like another RB or WR and/or another OL.

Aren't we supposed to have room to sign like 30 guys this class? Sure! They can take 6 DBs if they want to

6 And they still after Slip Watkins nephew who is still interested also. Kid is a dynamic athlete and was committed early to them at one time.

5 is not the number. If Cook, Surtain, and Green all called tomorrow and wanted in, they would all be takes and nobody would get proccessed.

I can see some transfers happening, I'd be happy with Surtain, another cb and 2 safeties.

They could reel Corionne Harris back in from Kansas and they after Assante Samuel son, just a lot of craziness going on with regards to DB's.

It seems that the LSU recruiting staff want players who love LSU and Louisiana. I am referring to local and out-of-state players who come to LSU to become great student athletes. Players that are not worried about stars or rating, and young men who are football players, not primadonna athletes. We want hard working, passionate, fast, ruthless, smart football players. The more these kids buy into their ranking the more they feel entitled to be given a spot, instead of feeling the need to earn a spot. Obviously I am not referring to players that are rated high and live up to that rating.

I like the mentality, attitude, and culture the new coaches have brought to LSU.

Having said that, our coaches will keep the DB's that truly fit in at LSU.

You are right about Harris. People think he's not a take, he's a top 10 guy at a position of need. They will take him if he wants in
