So we all know that De'jon Harris is his boy. If you take Divinity out of the equation, would LSU give Harris a look. 6'0" 240 lbs is pretty solid and he carries that weight well running sideline to sideline. This kid may just be a huge bonus with Divinity. Any word if LSU is pursuing him?

Word is he wants to play on the offensive side of the ball

Bama offered him as a H back. And I don't see Lsu offering him that until Devin white is on campus.

It may end up being a numbers game but purely from my own homer/state pride stance ... I want him to have an offer

Did I miss something here or is he playing both ways for John Ehret? I would say a fullback position but we are loaded there right now.

I'm going to assume you haven't seen his Senior highlight films, which shows a lot of Harris playing QB and RB for Ehret.

You should go probably peep that out and comeback. Bigger Myles Jack comes to mind. I want that kid.

If we are loaded at FB, why did running game go to shite after Moore got hurt?

It went to shite bc they're all freshman and get their first real game experience in the SEC

Mouton and ducre will be very good h-backs/fullbacks

We had 5 scholarship FBs this year, the oldest was JD Moore, we dont need anymore, it's ridiculous as is.

I don't understand a lot of these two way players that don't maximize their talent on defense. You're going to give up the chance to be a likely starting LB that could get drafted in the mid rounds or better with a good performance, for an H-back position? WTF?

I don't know when the last time time a non high ranked RB recruit did anything of note in the Bama rushing attack. Even Jalston Fowler was a 4 star recruit and top 15 RB (#3 FB on rivals).

At least come to LSU and be the next Kevin Sheppard, Debo Jones (who I think will be drafted in the top 4 rounds), or Perry Riley. Those are just the 3 stars. Beckwith (top 3 rounds), Kwon, Minter the 4 stars.

You're including Feist and Upchurch? Either way, I'd rather Harris play here as a LB. He may never be a LSU starter but we need better depth.

Doesn't matter. H-backs get nicked up [a lot]. If White is afraid of Harris as competition and either of them want one position vs. doing what they can to win championships, then we aren't selling what playing for LSU is all about.

Myles Jack will get very highly drafted because of his versatility. Both White and Harris should be looking at him as an example why both can co-exist very successfully at LSU.

Which is what I've been thinking. This kid will be turned into an LB before long at Bama. Let him hear anything he wants right now.

As bad as we've been on ST. coverage teams, we could use Harris whether he wants to play offense or defense. We lack fast, LB type bodies on ST and it showed all season.

Mark Ingram was a 3 star on scout.

We slow-played Duke Riley, and he's been a good ST'er and will wind up starting next season. I hope we press him coming out of the dead period. I don't like seeing an instate player who can help us leave the state.
