Malzahn on signing D'haquille Williams: "We're going to throw it more this season."
Auburn didn't pass it as much this year because we were so dominant on the ground. In the past, at every stop, Gus Malzahn's offenses have been able to pass, specifically in 2009 and 2010 in Auburn. Nick Marshall will have a full off-season to improve as a passer, and I'm sure the passing game will go to the next level with the time given to work on it.
Having D'haquille Williams, Sammie Coates, and RiCardo Louis out wide will also give Gus Malzahn more incentive to throw the ball as well.

I wanted DW for sure but of all the wants he is low on my list simply because he will be one and done. The good that he does in one season may be overshadowed by the harm it does in subsequent years due to not getting another receiver in this years class that is good and will be around for a few.

have fun watching them run the read option and also your D1 college career going to waste

i wanted this guy no doubt, but isn't he a one and done? i really do not know his eligibility.
rather get the guys for the future and possibly if somehow one of the juniors return.
again, i would love to have him.. but if LSU winds up with the receiver talent they are targeting I will be more happy.

may he become the next Deangelo Benton
Well, it may explain the fact why LSU stopped recruiting him...they felt DW was a "one and done", whereby they felt better about our long term prospects, and didn't want his signing to scare anyone away, like the Ruben Randall/Deangelo Benton situation. Boy, that sure turned out to be right call for the Tigers! Did Benton ever even play for Auburn? He finally got eligible and then had nothing left...

Exactly! This guy is still very very immature IMHO. Great physical talent but I feel our Frosh are more mature.
