I cover the River Parishes for the TP and freelance for the Advocate, also work with a website named after the state bird- I have seen him several times- he is better than Landry.
I gurantee he is faster and he is a bigger kid as well. he is RAW, pure RAW talent- Coach Deutrive said he is the best player he has EVER coached (that includes Perilloux)...next week Dutchtown travels to ESJ in a game that will probably decide the district title. May want to take a ride out and see this beast!!

i haven't missed a game since i was in high school & i graduated from ESJ in 97 LOL I'm sure you didn't mean to reply to me but I agree with everything you stated above. Dautrieve said that Williams was the best athlete he has ever coached...Ryan will always be the best QB though ;)

Just curious what have you heard?

I've heard he's a thug and he won't have the grades. Now I personally feel the word thug is thrown around too loosely, but that's what I heard. He is very cocky though, judging from the game I watched.

When is someone going to figure out that he says that about a different person every year? And he's wrong on that about every player except for Benny Guilbeau.

i know that he means well... these guys are exceptional athletes & he speaks the truth bout that... what they do off the field or in their personal lives is a different story. he may say it every year but i just think the talent gets better yearly.

Darion Monroe is also an exceptional athlete & a great kid... but he plays QB and won't get that same comment about him because there has been "better"...on the field

He is a very good receiver. He has all the characteristics to become a great receiver. The kid is strong, physical, smart and he catches the football. I seldom see dropped passes from him. The only part that scares me other than his grades is that he can only run a Go Route. I hear a lot of people compare this kid with Jarvis Landry. The biggest asset that Jarvis Landry has over Dhaquille is his route running. The kid knows how to get open. Thats what you need from a wide receiver in the SEC. Separtation. LSU wide receiver coach will have some work to do with Dhaquille if he goes there.

P.S. Tyrann Mathieu locked Jarvis Landry down in camp as well as Dhaquille Williams when he was in highschool @ St. Aug. Those were two sites to see. Priceless battles.

ESJ vs St Aug

Williams finished with five catches for 159 yards and two touchdowns with his first score coming on the game's second play and covering 67 yards. Henderson had difficulty finding his range in completing just eight of 26 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns with the three interceptions.

Mathieu didn't shut down much against Williams. Although I think Mathieu is a BEAST.

How old is Williams? I recall last year he came out of nowhere with tons of TD's.

I'm not sure on his age but he is a senior... so I'd say 18.

I've heard not so good things about him "off the field" but I can tell you that I see a big difference in his attitude this year vs last year. He's being double and triple covered...still makes the catches & shows good sportsmanship when he doesn't...helps up the opposing teams players, etc. People are gunning for him & yet he keeps his mouth shut, shows discipline. Last year was a different story. This is only his second year playing football, EVER. The kid is the most talented receiver I've seen come out of ESJ & we have had some good ones.

ETA: ESJ vs St. Amant, he was pushed out of bounds, after scoring a TD, by a defender... the guy pushed him right over the fence. If you've been to ST. Amant's field, you know what I'm referring to. It was completely uncalled for but he didn't retaliate & after being down for a while with the med staff, he came back into the game & intercepted a pass on defense to preserve the win. The kid has a bright future in football...I just hope he gets his mind in the right place.

Were you at the same game I was at? First of all, Williams got 67 yard pass on the first play of the game and that was with that "Go Route", The only route he knows how to run. Tyrann was spying and Williams was the safety's job. Tyrann still managed to run Williams down for the tackle. Second of all, both of the touchdowns Williams had was not on Tyrann. Tyrann was out cramping. But at the end of the game they tried to throw a fade route to Williams for the game winner and Tyrann lock that shite down. Nothing popped. Thats why East St. John lost. Dhaquille Williams is good, but Tyrann Mathieu is "The Truth". Right After that stop with 13 seconds left and St. Aug winning in the 4th. Tyrann went in with on Friday the 13th, He was #13, and ran out the clock with 13 seconds left to win the game. So those stats lie on Williams that game. 2 passes were caught on Tyrann. Neither was a TD. Now up against any other corner in the state, dude is unstoppable. But Tyrann Mathieu is an All-American.

But I love Dhaquille Williams and I hope he comes to LSU because he is a hound. We will just have to teach him how to run routes.

yes, I was at the same game as you & it's been stated multiple times that the only WR to get by TM was DW. I'm not making it up... LOL As I said before, TM is a BEAST & I love that he gives 100% every time he's on the field. He's a kid I love to pull for. Williams will continue to make defenses look like poo at the high school level... I'm not sure what his future has in store but I sure hope to watch him play ball on Saturday's in a few years.

I'm an eyewitness of Tyrann locking Dhaquille down. I just wanted to know who was publicizing false information so I can put together a lawsuit. I feel like all liars needs to be stopped. They mislead the public and thats not right.

Best wishes to Dhaquille. Outstanding athlete. I hope he becomes a Tiger. But history is written. Tyrann came out with Da W and ended the game.

By the way, a corner fade was thrown to Williams. Thats the hardest pass for a corner to cover. Its nearly impossible to stop if its throw right without getting a pass interference. For those who didn't see it. It was like the pass Tolliver caught for the Florida game. Any how, Tyrann lock that shite down.

Someone posted earlier that a ton of his classes did not get credited when he transferred to ESJ, therefore, there is no chance he makes his grades. Can someone please explain this? I've never heard of such a situation...how does a load of classwork not get credited and, if so, how does he intend to even graduate?

LMFAO you crack me up

I was an eyewitness also & i said absolutely nothing "bad" about TM. I'm just stating what I saw & what was written in the papers. We all have our own opinions.
