You do realize it's just May?

Should I start digging up Fobbs threads where A&M posters were beating their own drum?

As far as Bourque goes, we'll see what happens.

I'm not saying that A&M can't pull La. kids, but there's something going on in the workings with how LSU is offering/not offering him.

Was LSU's a commitable offer? or conditional?

They are just getting used to big time recruiting so they'll understand soon enough that time is the enemy for OOS recruits

Smoke Ring, it is obvious you are smoking crack in your Smoke Ring. I can't believe you even posted that. Bourque is no where near John Gray and I am a homer.

Well them and t.u If you read what they have to say on these boards or their own forums. Its the same basic things over and over. EXCUSES! Why A&M or Coach Sherman got this guy or that guy from LA. Its almost as A&M is getting guys from LA by "default" Never giving the school, the program or the coaches any real "props" for getting it done. One thing I read was "Coach Miles is good for letting one blue chip prospect go each year" and the others I really like is "I'm just glad their not leaving for Texas or Alabama" For those at home that wanna know the score this means "A&M sucks let them have a blue chip player of ours" They assume that A&M will never get back on top of being in the top 10 year in and year out. One day they will hate us just as much as t.u and Alabama because we will get back to winning. What they fail to realize is this is JUST the way to get back to being on top. We already had one good season. Everyone returns next season minus Von really. You have to expect another good or great season. Recruiting is taking off and everyone but aggies are making excuses on why the aggies are getting good/great players from LA. Or why we're scoring great players in our own state. We have basically taken OUs class. In the past it was OU and t.u soaking it all up here in the great state of Texas. Now its t.u and A&M. And to take things even further this coaching staff can land guys that have offers from L$U and Arkansas that ARE from LA. Do tiger and horn fans think that yet after another good/great season (2011) that the Aggies will just slowly go back down to being a dweller team in football? Recruiting and coaching are key...those two things wont go away any time soon. It already appears that the class of 2013 is gonna be yet another good one for A&M. It will be entertaining to see their boards 5-10 years from now. Maybe sooner. I expect one bright fan to chime in during their discussions on the "How did they come up" One will say "well they started off just taking some 3-star recruits from LA...then from their they would take a blue chip....then it transformed into them taking several blue chip players each year" the others will all claim "cheating" but taking some "3stars" was the way to get it done. I read time and time again that these kids from LA commit to A&M and immediately call an Aggie football player after committing thats from the state of LA. The networking is there and thats big. Its like paving the way for more and more to come in the future. I see the 2010 season as the season that started it all. Meaning the season that got A&M back on track, the first of the many good to great seasons that are up ahead.

beware, college football...the ags are coming!

I don't understand how you could possibly know whether the offer was committable. I recently heard his Dad do an interview and he was discussing the idea that Davante knew if he would like to be a Lsu, he needs to keep his head straight. No one truly knows unless you are on CLM staff. Either the offer wasn't committable or we offered at WR and he wants to play RB. Either way, he's a state top 20 prospect, but Lsu can't sign them all especially with numbers being tight.

They are just lucky "tFlaghsip" wasnt after him. No way he would turn down an opportunity to play in Bobbys offense. I think "tFlagship" is the only school that could sway his decision at this point.

Im really hoping we dont have to play aTm again in a bowl game anytime soon. If they manhandled us in a bowl, they would really tear down the walls that nick built around LA. I would rather lose to Vandy than for something like that to potentially happen.

I wonder if they are interested in hiring Frank Wilson, that would be a tough pill to swallow.

That dissertation was hilarious. It sounds like years of frustration and anger from going 5-8. I enjoy the fact that A&M has one good season and one good recruiting class started, and now they are a powerhouse. Do it more than 1 year, then come back and see us.

the reason we dont mind A&M pulling in state kids has nothing to do with success or lack of. It is because they arent in the sec, yet. Personally, i dont mind UT or A&M due to this. As far as Les losing blue chip in state guys; so did Saban. les has consistently recruited top 5 classes sprinkled with a lower top 10 a few years. I understand you can't sign everyone. Top 10 annually is going to give you the talent to maintain your competitive edge. That's proved itself out from a Lsu perspective for the last decade.

Looking at the amount of commitments already, I'm guessing A&M is taking the Ole Miss route of recruiting.

Land 41 commits and hope 13 of them qualify.

Lots of projecting going on in this thread. I see you guys claiming that Ags are saying plenty of things but I haven't seen it on TigerDroppings.

There's a quote above, I'm assuming from another site but one lunatic proves nothing. Every fan base has tards that post on their boards.

You guys are trying way to hard to put somebody "in their place". A&M has a verbal committment from a player that LSU recruited for a different position. Pretty much a non-issue to me. I'm not sure why some of you are trying to make it an issue.

Try the SEC Rant. Arguing for no reason is en vogue over there. I thought the recruiting board was for discussion of recruits

How does having 19 committed project to signing 41? We will sign up to 28 this year since we had some EE's last class that could be back counted. Recruiting in Texas is done earlier than other places. Mack Brown started it about 10 years ago. Go look at last year. On Texas' FIRST Jr Day they had 17 players commit on the spot and they didn't sign 40 players.
