They also moved emery up to 31 making him a 5 star!! If we can land these guys on NSD we have a excellent chance competing for that #1 class!! Geaux Tigers!!

LSU won't have the #1 class, but I would take a Top 5 class nationally and #3 in the SEC behind Alabama & UGA every day of the week.

ESPN is slowly integrating their end-of-the-year plagiarized rankings. It helps level out the composite to be more accurate.

LSU is likely having a top 5-8 class. You can’t reach top 3 with a snapper, punter and Juco TE. They provide no points in the rankings and also drag down the average ranking per player.

Juco TE

I have a feeling that he doesn't sign with us. I think we end up with much bigger fish on the line and he gets the "catch and release treatment. Not sure who that big fish will be but it's just a feeling I have; all the momentum we have going currently, plus VolTiger has hinted at a big time OT being flipped to us.

I expect this to be a Top 3 class if it closes like anticipated.

A 247 rating in the 290's, which is where this class likely ends up, has pretty much always been good enough for Top 3 nationally.

Doing it with the specialists makes it even more impressive.

Are they better players now than when they were 4*s yesterday?

I think we end up with a #11-14 class.

All of these teams, I think, will for sure be ahead of us:
Alabama
Oklahoma
Oregon
Ohio St.
Georgia
Texas
Auburn
Florida St.
Penn St.

These teams will have comparable scores to us:
ND
Michigan
Clemson
Texas A&M
Tennessee

If we close with who we are supposed to, there’s no chance in hell that happens. Do you really think there will be 11 teams with a score about 290?

When have we ever "closed with who we are supposed to"?

No I disagree. I think the easiest way to do a projection right now is evaluate the crystal ball picks or percentages for each team. Very few teams compare to LSU when you consider who is left on their board while also considering a 25 player signing class, some teams won't even reach 25.

Just adding the following 5 players to LSU class puts them around 286.

Sopsher
Emery
Lee
Palmer
Parker

Obviously they could miss on some guys but like I stated, doing projections based on percentages on 247.

This is straight stupidity. Even with a Juco TE, Longsnapper, and Kicker right now I only see maybe Bama, Georgia ahead of us. Oklahoma, A&M, and Ohio State will be right there with us. This class is just getting started.
