that's correct. Here is the summary from the actual insider from yesterday:

Saban is cooking. There isn't one coach coming into any school year one before any games are played and recruiting at that elite of a pace without extreme aid. Saban being paid to stick around is working for them, for now. I say that because when people see how Milroe won't be able to run that offense and how bad that secondary looks, they'll start reconsidering. Plus, this is the first time in a while, Deboer has not been with his tag alone Ryan Grubb. Deboer as an OC was mediocre more times than not. He was okay at best as an OC. Grubb and Penix are the real mastermind's of that offense.

Deboer is literally living off Souix Falls, one 9 win season at Fresno St which the QB had way more to do with the success than him, and the two year snapshot at Washington. That Washington stuff sounds good on paper, but when you have 85 thousand 5th and 6th year players (several transfers) including an elite QB gift wrapped to you and running Grubb's offense, how do you think you're going to look?

So many people have been fooled by this cat. He's extremely overrated. You got knuckleheads rating him and Sark over Kelly is the ultimately form of recency bias, and by recent i mean literally just last season. That is the only criteria they are using to place them over Kelly.

I mean the guy has won everywhere he has been. Same as Kelly. I don't understand why people do this. The guy is a good coach and should keep winning games at bama.

Of course he is getting some of these top commitments off the strength of bama and Saban. That doesn't mean him and his coaching staff don't have connections and good coaches on staff.
