Interesting view on this commitment from a Hog fan's perspective:

Hodge is a HOG!

This is a HUGE get. Kid is a Byran Jones clone- and will have the same type impact.

On a side note- how freaking nice is it to be LSU. Every year they have big time DT's- all coming from their state. They didn't have room for DD Jones a couple years ago, or a kid like Hodge, Chuck Hunter, Gerrand Johnson, etc this year.

However- i bet it is maddening having to choose bc honestly their isn't a cat hairs difference between all the DT's in La this year- would be easy for LSU to take the wrong one and regret it later- and that includes Mikey Johnson and Anthony Johnson. Seriously- there is 6 DT's in La this year that have multiple BCS offers, and they are all almost identical in size and speed. I really wish we would turn up the heat on Chuck Hunter, but with Hodge's commit and us being in the catbirds seat for Barron Dixon, i think we will be alright at DT

Thats hilarious! They actually think Hodge is on the same level Anthony Johnson is?

DT out of Neville in Monroe.

6'1" 304 lbs

Had offers from Arkansas, Mississippi State, and TCU.

Smart guy, already qualified.

Chose Arkansas because he said it felt comfortable, liked how the coaches really pursued him, and was told he would get early playing time as a freshman.

50 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 3 recovered fumbles, 4.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 4 knocked down passes.

315 bench, 480 squat.

Apparently a beast. It is a requirement of all Ar-Kansas recruits, according to their fans.

If he is going to the razorbacks then he runs a 4.1 40 yard dash...

Actually, I read every thread on this board. Also, why would I be butt hurt about a guy we didn't offer? I don't have the patience to get in a pissing contest with you though so let's just drop it.

Wouldn't an offer from LSU be needed in order for that to be a "butthurt" comment?

We all know Arkansas fans are the only ones who have homers.

Hes got a lot of room for strength improvement. He's very big boned. He's already quick and athletic. Other than Freak (they dont call him Freak for nothing), he is easily comparable to the other top 3.

He had offers from a lot of people and they are still interested..., it depends on how he plays this year. He came on strong late last year and set the tone for Neville's win against Franklinton. He was actually triple teamed on occasion by the most impressive high school offense in LA last year. Stay tuned b/c he was an unknown last year at this time and garnered a lot of attention and schollie offers very quickly.

Arkansas, congrats. You got a good one if he stays committed and I bet he does.

So, I heard from someone in Louisiana, that Hodge is better than 4* DT Chuck Hunter, is this true? Thanks in advance.
