Off-season thread....

Any sport... What do you consider to be an elite athlete? All state? All region? All American? Do you rely on ranking services? If so what do you look at?

Elite would require All American game imo. There are several now, so truly Elite players should make at least 1 of these games.

Well in FBall its anybody Bama offers a scholarship too. You automatically get another star and move up into the ESPN 300 once Bama offers.

Elite is a guy who holds offers from 15+ bug time schools. If he has an offer sheet of Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, USC, Oregon, Florida, FSU, he's probably elite.

Someone who can make an immediate impact on your roster. Different programs have their own ideas about an Elite recruit. A roster filler for us would be an elite recruit for Nicholls State.

IMO Patrick Peterson personifies Elite Recruit.

Universal 5 Star Prospect that can come in on day 1 and be either an immediate impact player or starter for a Big Time College Program while playing at a high level.

I would say any player who is top 5 at their position.

ETA: not including special teams.

Any recruit who gets fap references and dancing bananas when he commits.

I trust the dropping to let me know who's elite
