Only way we're going to land Willis is if USC doesn't have a spot for him, IMO.

Welcome aboard Neal! I don't care what other people say, this kid is an all around great football player and has a bright future at LSU.

I think this guy can be a beast. People dont realize these 3* guys are good players and probably accurately rated. But they feel disrespected and come to LSU with a chip on their shoulder. And when they go up against the talent we have at LSU it naturally makes them better players.

Cutrer has the frame for safety

Height wise, but he may need to redshirt 2 years if he plans on putting on enough weight.
Coming out of highschool people said the same thing about Tharold Simon being a safety but he had the hips and he was probably taller and he was heavier than Cutrer.

Diarse is a much better candidate for safety

He has quoted that the staff would like him to play WR and thus the reason why he competed at WR most of the time in ATL.

I'd argue Simon stayed at CB considering who he came in with in that class and Claiborne being the only CB in the class before. Reid was projected at Safety. Matheiu and Vinson were the other corners and they spent Vinson's first year moving him back and forth between S and CB. Simon was an obvious candidate to stay at CB for a number of reasons, depth being the main one.

Considering the number of CBs being brought into this class, Cutrer is a much more likely candidate to move to Safety, especially considering they don't have a committed Safety right now.

I agree that he'll probably start at WR, especially in light of those quotes you cite. Was just saying that of the people they are bringing in, he is the most likely candidate to be capable of a move to Safety.

Diarse is right where he needs to be a wr.. He has great hands, is a great route runner, and just naturally knows how to play that position. His catching ability and great route running makes up for his lack of speed. i thought safety early on, but after reading all the evals from coaches and scouts etc.. i think he is right where he needs to be at wr

Tennessee also offered, they recruited him for the jack LB.. In the end he knew where he had the best chance to succeed

Tennessee offers used to mean something to me....not anymore. Look at the offer lists sometime on Rivals for example. I believe Tennessee literally offers more prospects than anyone in the nation now. That just confirms to me what I've guessed...that program is a really, really bad shape. And this year for example, Vanderbilt is outrecruiting them badly. If they don't turn this around, they may be Ole Miss with 100,000+ seats.

His first step is so quick and with his long arms, he's beating good o-lineman badly at the 7 on7 he's attending, per the slant.

As you stated, the main problem is Derek Dooley. I keep up with La Tech big time and Dooley did squat at Tech. Dykes has come in and really upped the program. You want to know who Derek Dooley is? He is the equivalent of Mike Archer when he got the LSU job...simply isn't up to the task. This will probably be Dooley's last year at Tennessee. He is flat out not ready to be an SEC coach. And BTW, Tennessee lost assistants (and I'm not talking Orgeron) within the last year or so. They know what is happening and they took the lifeboats.

Yeah, that is not exactly the photo I saw but close. Geez, look at the arms on that guy for like 17 or 18 yo! Does LSU have a weightlifting team?

Just for comparison, some Rival stats:
Neal bench 350 squat 500 vertical 32"
Vanderdoes bench 305 squat 500
Golden (A&M) bench 295 squat 505

Pretty much says it all...his legs are probably like a lot of players being recruited but he blows away these guys in the bench (arms) by around 50 pounds. Explains why he looks so strong on his videos throwing guys around.

I am curious about his current ranking (3 star on rivals and scout)...because I am a fan...:)

he must be somewhat under-rated because I don't see LSU taking out of state 3 star DE's..

I trust the coaches...
EsPN has him a 4 star btw...
