In an interview from a few days ago-- and I paraphrase-- Tahaan Goodman said he will definitely be visiting LSU, with Priest Willis, for the Bama game. He said he and Willis could be a package deal. His teammate, Trojan commit CB Chris Hawkins, is constantly in his ear about USC. Goodman does vist the campus to see the coaches and players regularly.

Smart money still says USC with Goodman, but Willis is a wildcard, especially if transfer CB Tee Shepard is given a scholarship (he was the best corner on the WC last year, committed to Notre Dame, and went to campus for three weeks before leaving).

I don't know if there has been a lot of discussion here, but Willis has the attributes to be a BIG corner. Nice fluidity in his hips and crisp change of direction.

Expect them both to be "later" announcements.

Raymond was at WM this week watching Xavier Woods. He told him LSU wants to see X at LSU camp and see what he runs in the 40 live.

Good for Xavier and I like him a lot. Question, who is Thompson? Did you mean Raymond or am I just blanking on Thompson? Will say that while I would be pleased if Woods was in our class, I don't see how he fits our board unless we are giving up on some of the OOS guys or someone of Jefferson, White or Brazil is playing on offense. I'll be happy with Woods but how many cbs can we take?

To the USC guy(I can never remember any of you guys names but like what you guys bring to the board) , thanks for the info. I chat with a USC guy daily and he gives me good scoop on USC info so I keep pretty in the loop with Goodman, Redfield and Willis. I love Willis. He's the best DB in the country to me since I count Cravens as an athlete. His ability to play either cb or s at an elite level is what puts him at the top for me. I think ther are better pure corners in the class and better pure safeties but no one with the elite ability at both he has. I'd love to land him but do feel he and Goodman will be at USC based on where things stand at this juncture. I actually have heard Goodman is the guy we have the better shot with because USC may not take him but you know how that goes. Constant change.

Hey Trojan ace,

Don't be so sure on Goodman to USC. Not saying he is an LSU lock, but I heard he does not click well with Kiffin.

It's recruiting bro. A bunch of 17 and 18 year olds making huge decisions.

I take nothing for granted in recruiting!

However, your sources are sorely wrong on some type of clicking issue with CLK. 100% positive on that.

Had the privilege to be on coaching staff during Hargreaves freshman year of football. Even as a 5'6 140 lb 9th grader, Vernon was extremely athletic and had incredible technique. His father coaches at South Florida and was on staff during some of Miami's dominant years. Vernon's a great kid and I'm glad to see he's doing so well. LSU likely won't be where he lands, but it would be great to see Vern as a Tiger.

I meant Raymond and had just watched Corey Thompson's highlights. Doh! Corrected now.

Why no love for Alexander? He looks amazing on film and is faster than most of those other guys.

He's easily the best CB I've seen footage of this year. He's 5-11 version of PP7.

I have no clue why Tiger Nation isn't day-dreaming about him on their wish-lists.

Watched Alexader's film and agree on the rating you gave his coverage skills. Looks like one of those kids that would just make a QB want to throw to the opposite side. Plays like his high school coach has given him the green light to be aggressive. Reminds me of the way the DeSoto coaches let Bryson Echols play last year. You'd be able to put him on the other team's best receiver every game.

Have seen some of the other kids' film and think this is going to be a special year for LSU to get some great defensive recruits.

everything I'm hearing says that goodman and willis are a package deal and with our limited schollies im not feeling too sure about these two, especially if we take Sheppard. UCLA is said to have made a strong impression on these guys and it may turn into an LSU/UCLA battle for their services. I like your chances
