Seems to be a lot of it around him and Oregon. Anybody got insight into what’s going on there? Is he a flip risk?

Agreed. He just posted another picture of himself up there though so has to make you wonder what the deal is LINK
quote:

Bogus arse.
Picture was from the 13th - more than 48 hours before your OP. He just posted, huh?
Hmmm... this is just like TB1977 BS. Working hard to think up shite to post.
quote:

And for reference, he was there when they played Stanford 10/1 ( LINK - oh look ANOTHER picture! WOW)
Pffft. Stop digging, Loser. Is that picture he posted from 11:17 AM · Oct 3, 2022 supposed to prove something? Does that count as recent in your world, too?
quote:

Dude you need to get a life other than this board. If 48 hrs ago isn’t recent enough for you and your life just hinges on min by min updates about HS school kids, you need to re-evaluate your priorities.
This is the Recruiting Board, right? fricking idiot.
You ask a bogus recruiting question on the recruiting board. You reinforce asking the question with outdated information that you imply is something new.
You get called out for it then cry about it.
Back to the kid's table till you can act like a grown up. Might want to post under your real ID, too.

Hmm could this be due to Ricks? Perhaps there’s more behind the scene with Ricks? Done deal and perhaps it’s somehow taking away from Austin?
I'd be verrrry cool if that was the case. Not saying don't want Austin, though.

You are quite literally too stupid to insult.

To quote the great movie Billy Madison, “what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

Have you seen the facilities at Oregon? I honestly would think most kids fall in love with the football facilities there. State of the art, better than a lot of NFL facilities. Very updated and full of tech upgrades.

You don’t know chit about Kelly and Harris. Hopefully Kelly will not pass on Harris bc of his fu$&@“ up year at a fu$&@) school. I trust his ability to run a program and strain kids out

He does have a point about your possible exaggeration and motivation.

You said there is "a lot of smoke" about Austin, but provided no evidence. When asked for evidence, you posted a link to a recent tweet from him with a single photo at Oregon.

He also has lots of pro-LSU tweets. Doesn't seem like a lot of anything can be gleaned from that single tweet.

Who knows where he ends up.

Are you saying Oregon’s facilities are so much better than LSU’s that it gives him a better chance at the NFL? Oregon plays nobody in a nobody conference. LSU puts players in NFL second to one and plays in the greatest football conference in history. So save your Nike bling bs everyone knows that have it and doesn’t change my opinion. LSU is a far far better football school esp at preparing defensive players for the NFL

What a roller coaster of a cb class. Last week we were elite with toviano, austin, and ricks as sure locks. This week we are back to struggling with only landing toviano.
I’m sure we see lots of movement from now until signing day

Has something happened with Ricks where we arent confident anymore?

I think Laterrance Welch is going to be a good cornerback…so if that’s the worst case scenario…I think we’ll be ok

No. Just an overreaction to the insiders telling everybody to hold their horses because while LSU is leading, it isn't a done deal yet.

This is where message boards start the suspense angles and fans fall for it. Don’t fall for the Texas is a major player for Toviano at the moment. Bama is all in on Ricks along with Florida but LSU is all in on him as well.

Be that as it may, where are the results? They produce solid talent here and there but look at Sewell as a recent example. Dude was a near lock in the top ten for the upcoming draft, haven’t seen his name. Can happen anywhere of course but for all that flash, there’s not much substance behind those facilities and the development of the players at the next level. Get properly coached and play in the SEC or Big 10 (Michigan, Ohio State).

Think I'm missing something here. Sewell got drafted last/this year by the Lions. Top ten I think.
Regardless, if a youngster thinks he can get to the NFL and all other factors are equal then the numbers say his choice has to be LSU regardless of his position.

Yeah that's the answer. Bring in a kid with absolutely no respect for rules or any semblance of common sense

I agree with you. But I wouldn’t have a problem with Kelly telling the kid that he will be drug tested once a week at random intervals. If he fails one drug test or breaks one team rule he will automatically be kicked off the team and loose his scholarship
Edited to say sometimes kids just need a positive influence to get them in the right mindset

You’re thinking of the older brother, Penei, who was drafted by the lions. Noah is the linebacker prospect, with immense expectations this season and a likely top ten draft pick. Haven’t seen much of him in the mocks, going anywhere near that range.

Hell, just hoping LSU can land him, he’s a good talent and under House and Steeples’ guidance, I’m sure he’ll be a day one or two draft pick.
