Davenport to OL?
I hope like hell not. But if so I must assume we have another DL recruit who can not cut it on that side of the ball. Maybe he will be as "good" as Lyle Hitt who also moved from DL to OL.

Actually, I starting to believe we have coaches who can't tell the difference between a OL and a DL.

Our coaches can't cut it on the coaching and talent utilization part?

Actually its a tried and true tactic to recruit high school D-linemen who you intend to convert to the O-line. Even in high school, your better athletes play defense and the slower guys play offense. Many high schoolers aren't quick enough to play defense at the college level, but their higher level of athletic ability allows them to transition well to the offensive side. Also for many of them gives them a better shot at a pro career.

When Barksdale was converted to OL Pelini said he could be a top 10 draft pick. Was that bull or should he still be at DT?

We don't know this yet b/c he's not done playing at the college level. If he gets switched to LT tackle, I can see him making a serious push as a top 10 draft pick.

Sure Les has his clock management issues and Crowton's predictable, but gentlemen make no mistake Stud and Les know worlds more than any of you regarding the development of a lineman from DL to OL. They evaluate each play from day to day and scrutinize them for hours with film.

If they deem a move beneficial, then we should respect it.

Just because you watch games and were a lineman in HS doesn't give you more qualifications than coaches with more than 30 years experience.
