Why would we take a Nicholls state DB? We’re LSU for crying out loud. Surely this is a troll thread.
I’m sure you’re a good judge of talent. STHU.

I wonder what the hold up is. The earlier we can get him in, the more prepared he'll be. I guess we may have some other options on the line - I can't imagine that this kid would be considering anywhere else.

Do you think Saban would consider taking a Nicholls state DB? Lol, we’re LSU not ULM.

And you act like you’re a better talent evaluator then Ed, Bo, and Corey.

Well the guy that CEO called "the best player on the field" the other day was from North Dakota State so...

Coach O has never mentioned this DB, these rumors about him are from message board idiots. LSU will never sign him, we have way better talent on the bench.

Man you need to relax. One of our starting lbers this year will be a transfer from a school like Nichols. Every year a player gets drafted from a small school. Some are late bloomers or just missed. We are looking for depth. We have 1 stud and other guys who have potential but still need to play more.

You think he's going to mention him by name? He's been CBed by a couple LSU guys, there is clearly interest. What school he goes to makes zero difference.

You just sound like you have an ax to grind against Nicholls. Nicholls hasn’t had a ton of players drafted but Ladarious Webb and Mark Carrier come to mind. I don’t know much about Darren but it wouldn’t be a shock if he gets picked up by a D1 school. Lay-off the Colonels hater.

Our starting center looks to be a transfer from Harvard. EdO said our best player on the field was a transfer from North Dakota State. Talent is talent. No matter where that kid from Nicholls goes he will drafted into the NFL when his college career ends.

no cornerbacks from our 2017 or 2018 recruiting classes on this years squad.
In fairness, we only signed one during those two year, which I really hadn’t realized. Kind of crazy to go back a few years and see how it shook out.
Fulton and Greedy were huge gets in ‘16 (Savion was a bust(er)). Then only Vincent in ‘17 with no one in ‘18 (thought Joseph would play CB and I don’t even remember what happened with him).
Cleaned up in ‘19 with 5! Mo Hampton moved to Safety, so really 4 but a huge year at CB which clearly played a big role in LSU winning the Ship. Followed up by another slow year but still a huge get in Ricks.
Looks like we will need another big year in 2022 to make up for having no Seniors on the team and for the Juniors that will leave that year (Stingly, obviously; Flott probably if he continues to excel).
‘22 will be another year with young guys getting playing time behind the upperclassmen options in Ricks, Raydar, J Ward, & McGlock, depending on who develops. Off to a good start with N Wiggins (‘21) and K Rogers (‘22).
P.S. I think the Nicholls pick up would be great for this year. Tough to lose a starting Senior CB no matter how you cut it.

LSU truly has had an embarrassment of riches at cornerback and will for the foreseeable future. And the run of corners we had from 2010-2015 was probably even better. The real DBU is alive and well.

Did he end up transferring to LSU?

Does he want to play this year? Needs to come on

its ok to call a spade a spade.

Now I can say it. We’re LSU and should t be taking DB’s from Nichols. Hope we learned our lesson. Poor kid was so overmatched by an average WR. Imagine what Bama would do to the kid.
