because his uncle or cousin was a receiver there when he was being recruited, but his relative transferred out or got kicked off the team before this season

Wow, I remember that kid. He went to Colorado because his Uncle (yes his uncle) was a player on the team?
According to ESPN he has 23 attempts for 95 yards and no TD's this year and has a career 110 attempts for 438 yards and one TD. He hasn't played in the last two games.

I started a thread about this guy earlier in the year and called him the biggest non-criminal bust since Rivals started their rankings

Scott has been plagued by being out of shape and injured since his arrival two years ago. He is one of those kids that just doesnt care.

I watched him play early this year. They tried to get him the ball every way possible. It was forced, and was producing poor results. You could see his frustration. Several weeks (and losses)later, they were on TV again and he had been replaced by Stewart (160 lb guy with quicks). You could see the regret in his eyes on the sideline. I felt bad for him. Transfer is the correct move. Hawkins will be gone soon, and who knows who takes over.

Scott went to Colorado because his uncle was there. However, since then, his uncle transfered by to California - I believe USC. Also, during Scott's freshman year, he was behind another freshman...

I live in Denver and have had the displeasure of watching CU play more than most....he came in as a freshman out of shape and never got in the good graces of Hawkins....who is probably on his way out too!
