Darius not thrilled about Lorenzo to South Carolina.
Possible decommit from Arkansas. Ole Miss may come back into the picture.

This is the LSU Recruiting Board..... Why are you talking about this stupid shi*?
Type it somewhere where someone cares...

Wow. Harsh words.
Considering he is a 5 star cornerback with offers from big SEC programs, I thought it might be newsworthy.
Point me in the direction of the Corndog kool-aid so I can become up to speed with the board's agenda

So...why would he go to OM?
Posted on 1/12/09 at 4:13 pm to PharmacistReb
apparently a rock is smarter than Winston. That's the word.

his uncle posts on another board and says no on OM.
i'd be more worried about Michigan or him following wards to USCjr. if i were an arkansas fan.
i think he sticks with ark fwiw.

Why would he go to Arkansas seems to be the better question

Champ,
JUST heard the thing about his uncle. Oh well, it's good to dream!
Hard to believe a position coach is the only reason he is considering decommitment but he seems unhappy about the move

yea committing bc of a position coach is not too smart...too much turnover w/ those jobs.

what does Ole Miss offer over Arkansas for a 5 star CB?
Forget the fact that he is from Arkansas.
Please do not come back with "we will win the West next year".

What are you implying? Our team is certainly in a better position to compete at a higher level than Arkansas.
Different folks, different strokes. Not all recruits favor a school that has a big stadium and name recognition.
Confused as to what you are trying to say

Yeah, I'm sure LSU fans don't think that they can receive commitments because they have a national championship caliber team. It's other reasons outside of winning that makes those high school kids commit...
I think the fact that we are a possible Top 10 program next season would have a lot to do with our success in recruiting down the stretch.

Just the ones that don't have offers from places that have big stadiums and name recognition.

Please break it down for us...How do you figure?

I gotta C-Note that they won't sniff the top 10 by end of year

How do I figure? I'll tell you how I figure.
Returning starters:
QB: Jevan Snead (the only experienced QB in the SEC West)
RB: All of 'em (Eason, McCluster, Bolden, Davis, Davis)
WR: Lose Mike Wallace but return Shay Hodge, Lionel Breaux, Markeith Summers. Probably add Pat Patterson to that list. McCluster playing slot as well
TE: Gerald Harris returns
OL: Lose Oher and Mo Miller. The biggest question marks on the team. Return 3 of the 5 starters though
DL: Lose Peria. Possibly Greg Hardy but we don't know yet. Regardless, our front 4 will be deadly once again. Marcus Tillman, Lawon Scott, Ted Laurent, and Kentrell Lockett as our front 4 will be among the SEC's best again. All four were a huge part of our success this past season. Overshadowed by Peria but the entire line was unstoppable at season's end
LB: Lose Fein and Palmer but will have Trahan, Allen Walker, and Jonathan Cornell back. We will have studs at LB
DB: A year under their belts. We lose only Jamarca Sanford but Johnny Brown, Kendrick Lewis, Marshay Green, and Cassius Vaughn will be some of the most experienced in the SEC. I have no doubt that our pass defense will be MUCH MUCH better than what we saw early in 08
Special Teams: Joshua Shene will a senior and arguably one of the SEC's best place kickers. We have committed Andrew Ritter as a kicker. He will likely kick off during the year and become place kicker when Shene graduates. I believe he averaged about 75 yards per kickoff while in high school. Add several months of college weight room to that leg, and I'm confident he'll be a touchback machine.
Sound good to you? You may not agree that we'll be as good as we were but we're easily one of the most experienced, proven teams in the SEC right now. You may disagree but it's not like it's just the Ole Miss fans are the only ones saying this. Not to mention, we currently have three easy non conference games scheduled (one unscheduled). We also get LSU, Bama, Arkansas, and Tennessee at home. We play South Carolina, Vandy, State, and Auburn on the rodad. We have a favorable 2009 schedule
You have your opinions. I have mine. We'll see what happens this fall.
