Yeah b/c you can’t make it to the NFL playing at Miami.

So which one of those is LSU he's referring to? Hopefully not the part where he said if they paid it would be painful for them.

This is the truest take in all of this. People have been sounding the alarm about DT for 3 years. Kelly has chosen to ignore it until now, and now he can't address it because the cost doesn't align with his principles. Fine, good on him for that. But if he had addressed this for the last 3 years, he wouldn't have to face this decision. He will have to own this, and he will I am sure. Not like anything can happen to him, or should happen to him. Just a bummer situation is all.

Yea, I mean it can't be hard to have a contingency plan when your DL coach has a medical emergency and misses the whole season. We pay these coaches enough, they should be able to see the future too.

If someone really did offer 2 million then I’m glad LSU is out of it because that’s ridiculous. The Texas A&M dlineman that went to ole Miss would be understandable if he got that but not either of these two. That’s ridiculous. A lot of Vet pros don’t even get that and have actually proven themselves.

Walker Nolan? I don’t think ANY D-Lineman that was in the portal was/is worth $2 Million. In fact, I wouldn’t want us to pay $1 Million. They’re not worth it, and it’ll just cause issues of resentment amongst the players already on our team.

At this point even if we got him. You gotta imagine this kinda of stuff doesn’t sit well with the rest of the locker room. Makes you wonder if what you gain outweighs the issue you could create in the locker room bringing in an above average player paying him more than the position room combined

That's what it is. LSU has competitive money in NIL but they're not willing to pay. BK has no problem paying players but if they want to do this and go into bidding wars cya. It's pretty simple and clear. He doesn't want divas on his roster otherwise he ends up with transfer portal nightmares like last season in guys like Chestnut and Denver Harris.

Yeah this one felt a bit like a traveling circus since it began. Note to self, don’t wait till spring portal if at all possible. We lose bargaining power with not having another portal opening before the season. They have us and they know it

BK still not wanting to spend cash. People need to realize we’re going to continue to get beat out on the big names. Our D line recruiting fricking blows

Go away. Desperation spending, especially on non-big 5 positions, never ends well.

(QB, Legit #1 WR, LT, EDGE, Shutdown CB)

Look at the NFL and the teams that “win” free agency - they’re not the teams winning the Super Bowl…

The asking price of so much of this is absolutely ridiculous. A ton of these schools simply have to start refusing to play this game and pay it

This is cope.

If they’re spending their money inefficiently then we should be cheering them on and exploiting the inefficiency. Why would you want your competitors to get smarter with their operations?

When the rams won the SB, they were paying a DT far more than the second highest paid non-QB

It feels thread worthy to say we have no insiders. Within 36 hours this has gone so many ways.

Basically with a portal transfer it’s NIL at the last minute because it’s someone at position of dire need so they can demand the market.

Now we wait and see because all this “information” about announcing today and the Uncle going on about coming out the wood work has made this shite just fun to admire

Honestly when I started embracing watching bravo with my wife and stopped giving so much energy to TD my life got easier and more enjoyable.

I’m honestly not a big fan of the drama, but I do get excited about LSU recruiting Hmmmm. Maybe I like the drama…a little bit.

Walker Nolan?

I bet he drops in value at OleMiss. He took a good many plays off under Jimbo, and old habits are hard to break.
