Ranked #1 at some dudes camp that noone heard of before yesterday.

I hope he pans out. But I sure hate to fill a spot in this class with a JUCO punter.

This guy specializes in ranking kickers/punters across the country so I would take his word over Rivals/Scout/ESPN who really don't even seem to put much effort into evaluating those guys. His kicker list goes out to like a 250 ranking.

Last May, at the Sailer Camp in Vegas, Dalton was "ranked" #10 for the punting competition (Kyle was #13). He's a JC kid, two years older/bigger/stronger than most of the other kids who were competing. Sailer does not take age into account when ranking ability... In Sailer's book, Dalton is in the 2011 class (but he graduated HS in 2009). So, if he's ranked above kids who will graduate in 2011, there's no real big surprize (at least to me). Please don't get me wrong, I hope the kid does well @ LSU. But I still think LSU needs a kicker in 2011. Coach Miles & Joe Rob looked for Kyle to do both, and he would have if FL had not offered. Again, we wish him well.

I think we're recruiting all of these punters because Les knows we're going 3 and out since we have no quarterback.

Here's an idea! Why don't we recruit good quarterbacks so we don't need to punt!?

Good website bio

Dalton is one of the most talented punters that we have come across in years. A exceptional athlete with a great leg and huge potential. Has only scratched the surface of what he will become and is already ranked #1 in the nation. The best JC punting prospect in the nation and the overall #1 as of 7-9-10. Has all the tools to dominate at the D1A level. Huge pickup for LSU.

I'm sure he's very good, but does LSU still need him with Wing being cleared. Wouldn't this scholarship be better used on another position player?
