My padna is good friends with his head coach at Haughton...He said that Dak will honor his commitment to state no matter what...From what he says, Dak is a strong character kid. In my opinion, LSU missed on this one.

chelle you are right on with what I'm hearing.
After after a couple of weeks of good numbers, his stock on this board will rise; albeit to no avail.

Great kid; and more talent than this board can realize. LSU misses on a home grown.

Well you can't find every kid that flies under the radar. For every guy that turns out well there are 5 that this board would howl at if LSU offered them a scholarship and they didn't turn out in our favor.

Best of luck to Dak.

I agree you can't sign every prospect and that Dak will be a good fit for Miss. ST.. I disagree that he has been under the rader as this board has consistantly dismissed him.

As someone that has watched his progression over the last two years and what I expect from his senior year, I believe that he could have been a contributer for the tigers!

Good luck to Dak and Go Tigers!!

Thats the same thing that he told the MSU pay boards when the LSU rumors started swirling after Zach Lee choose baseball.

Dak is a great kid who is involved in Student Government and the FCA and he is a leader who I am expecting on having a great SR season and will be a solid QB at Mississippi State.

"not so fast my friend"

Prescott didnt look quite the player as some have been talking about tonight. HHS loses to Parkway 21-7. The only Haughton score came from the Sophmore QB in a 2 min drill at the end of first half.

Not sure on Dak's stats, I am guessing somewhere around 5-15 for about 40 yds with a couple of INTs. Now, in his defense, the rumor coming into the game from some of the kids was that he has a hurt shoulder and was supposed to only play a series or two, but ended playing about 4-5 series. Also, his center wasnt helping him much with very high snaps on just about every other play, plus a couple of dropped balls from the wrs.

However, the kid looks the part, has good zip on teh ball, seems to run well although a couple of times he threw into double coverage when he could of scampered for 10 yds, one of which an INT.

But, this was my first time to watch Dak, so I cant tell you if he is legit or not - just didnt have a great game tonight. I will update you guys next week after the home opener.

Couple of Sophs for Haughton looked good, the QB John David and DB Dylan Wallace.

Are some of you folk just in love with this kid? Get over it..He is going to Stste. IF he were good enough for an offer from LSU he would have got one,.

Dak Prescott goes 7-13 for 69 yds in limited action. No rushing attempts as Haughton now gets ready to open the season next week vs city rival Airline.

He is probably smart enough to know that you go to the team that wants you, and is willing to commit to you.

You go to a school where you are an afterthought and you can quickly be buried on the depth chart by a more highly recruited kid the next year.
