If it is not a specialty degree, the degree you have makes little difference. Most jobs just require a degree, any degree, from a university. That is why degrees from that college are almost meaningless to compare.

Look at the average salary for people coming out of LSU vs A&M.
Well, are you actually going to provide any numbers?

Second, I agree that some things LSU are better at, however in the important degrees, engineering and sciences,
LOL, how can you say some degrees are "more important" over others? Wouldn't that completely depend upon, uh, what the person WANTS to do would be the most important to them?
quote:
Not all schools are the same. If you really think that, you dont think at all. Recognition and prosperity of the school/degree has a great deal to do with how successful you are.
You must not be a part of the real world. The fact is most public universities around the level of TX A&M and LSU are seen as pretty equal as far as undergrad degrees go. When you submit job applications, assuming the employer is not biased in any such way, will not give a crap where you got your undergrad as long as it's from a respectable university. They are not going to say "Hey, this guy got has an A&M 4-year degree, that's a lot better than an LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Oregon or Utah degree!" Now, is there a distinct difference i nrespect for say a Vanderbilt, Northwestern or Ivy league school degree over say LSU/A&M, etc? Yes. But saying an A&M 4-year degree is worth anymore than a LSU or many other public university degree, is dumb, because it's simply NOT true.
You can get into grad programs, because those do vary greatly, but an undergrad degree from TX A&M isn't worth anymore than an undergrad degree from LSU or tons of other public universities.

Formerly an all male school. Really? I mean what male in his right mind wants to go to an all male school?
They care more about the Longhorns than they do their own team.
They rush EMPTY basketball courts LINK
This is considered high fashion...
I could go on, but those are what come to mind when I think of the aggots.

Why can't Aggies field an ice-hockey team?
Everyone drowns in spring training.

I tried to be civil, then jerks just came out and flamed.
And you didn't flame? Saying TX A&M is clearly superior to LSU in academics (which is wrong). Saying Texas A&M baseball is EQUAL to LSU baseball (VERY wrong). Saying Texas A&M basketball is better than LSU basketball (Again, VERY wrong).
You brought this on yourself, I don't feel bad for you at all.

Louisiana State University Agricultural & Mechanical College was established by an act of the legislature, approved April 7, 1874, to carry out the United States Morrill Act of 1862, granting lands for this purpose. It temporarily opened in New Orleans, June 1, 1874, where it remained until it merged with Louisiana State University in 1877. This prompted the final name change for the University to the Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College. [14]
(same one A&M was established under)
Aggies are NOT our mascot, but you believe what you want to believe.

Yea I'm going to have to agree that the only thing you cite about A&ms education is Engineering. And yes I won't lie that they have a good program. I am currently an engineer at LSU, and coming out of high school my three favorites were A&M, LSU, and Ga. Tech. I got tuition nearly paid for at Ga. Tech so I went there because they are by far the best in engineering. I transferred here to come closer to home and honestly have not noticed that great a difference. Biggest difference is it seems LSU leads their students to managing engineers whereas Ga. Tech leads their students to design.

I love that when i say something about the present, you talk about how you were better in the past. When i talk about the past, you are better in the present. Its a good mix to prove you are always better.
Btw the guy who claimed he was at a&m.. it is the Corps not the Core. I doubt you have been to A&M if you dont even know that.

Coach sherman is doing something completely different than what fran did. He is using the players that fran recruited to run an offense that is completely different. I believe that we will get some success in the next 2 years (8-4,9-3) but nothing huge. The question after that is will he be able to take us to another level, and that is the million dollar question.
Sherman hasn't even had a winning season yet and you're predicting 9 wins as soon as next year? Sorry to say, but he's not a good coach.
And offense isn't/wasn't your problem. Your defense is pathetic.

Here is what im talking about specialty degrees. If you get a degree in education, agriculture, english, underwater basket weaving, whatever. It all goes toward the same job. How often do you go to a place saying we need an agriculture major. Usually it just says requires a college degree, any college degree. Explained?
