Uh, Brooks is a nickel CB and a better player at nickel than he is S. He played nickel at Arkansas too.

LSU better come more prepared for FSU than they did this past season because they're going to be a much better team.

Think about the situation LSU was in with a 1st year coach and thrown together roster that evolved throughout the year and then think about how ridiculous what you just said is.

Why's it ridiculous to say LSU needs to be better prepared than last year? That doesn't make any sense. They should be but it doesn't mean they will be. And FSU should be a better team on paper as well. LSU should look good on offense but they'll be breaking in many new defensive starters for kinks. Should is the key word.

They're going to Orlando to play. This game will be much tougher than it was this past season even with 1 year under BK and more development. It's probably a top 3 most challenging match up on paper for LSU next season. Travis is a super underrated QB and he's coming back. That was the same guy who under pressure still shredded LSU.

FSU's issue is going to be depth like it was this past season. They target portal very good and get top end players but their HS recruiting is lacking. LSU does both, so we have depth. That's not going to be a major factor in first game of the season. If we were playing FSU late in the season it would be an issue. They would need to accumulate tons of injuries similar to what happened this past season before our game. That's another thing, they were not even full strength in that game and lost their very good OL before it.

Talent wise looking at starters top to bottom it will not be much of a gap between LSU/FSU. They will probably beat Clemson as ACC champs. I feel like LSU will come in that game motivated from last year and set the tone for the season in this game.

Why do be people keep saying this about DL? Y’all realize we went and got two all conference level guys in Jefferson and Shand right? But agreed, CB is petrifying. Burns coming back makes me feel a little better about safety

Florida State does not match LSU in talent nor coaching lmao. They do not have a Perkins, Campbell, Smith level talent.

So if we brought in 10 DBs instead of 8 would you feel better? Or do we need to just get the guys you think we need?

If you could get the right guys locked up for us that would be great. If you did that, we could relax and not be scared stiff from your fear mongering. You’ve got me convinced, this staff is just whiffing and we are fricked! What are we going to do???
Have you contacted anyone on the staff? I’m thinking the organization needs your help and it needs it quickly. We cannot whiff on a player we want next year so we need you on the recruiting staff. Please make sure you let them know you have the “it” factor when it comes to not whiffing and get that job! I don’t want to be scared no more!

No, but in the overall roster talent looking at starters they have many NFL players. The gap is not as big as you might think. We're talking strictly starters not depth which is going to be their problem. If they start raking injuries up again like what happened this year it's going to kill them.

LSU would overwhelm them on depth alone but that's not really going to be in play very much when you're both starting the season fresh so you measure it by starter talent and they're very talented starting wise while not being done with the portal yet.

The 2 TEs they got are very good as well as 1 who's super dynamic. They match up well against LSU because right now that's our biggest weakness on our defense is LBs. They have a talented run game, a very underrated QB who put a clinic on LSU last year and LSU will be breaking in many new starters. They match up well against us.

Harris and alexander are your corners

Looks like they want brooks at safety qnd not nickel.

I still think you need a 3rd proven corner and another proven free safety who can cover. I'd also like them to grab another de/edge type.

Need an Edge rusher, ILB, S, CB, elite RB, C. TE? G?

ideally you don't want to rely on freshman in any position. TE is too thin to not look at someone else there because if Mason goes down what do you have there? A bunch of true freshman.

Not melting or even saying LSU won’t handle FSU… But their QB may be better and that’s a pretty darn important position.

I tried telling people when lsu lost to fsu last yr they were a good team.

Lsu fans tried shitting on them all yr.

They will be better next season just like lsu. Will be another hard fought game.

Imo lsu still has work to do in the portal.
