Why are you on a sports message board, sir?

Obviously not to discuss sports. We’re not paid to discuss it

I feel like FSU will be the Portal version of Faggies 2022 recruiting class. I hope so anyway. Lol

How?…, not even being smart … asking a serious question.

Roy, Ojulari, Gaye started in positions with very little depth. I don’t think we signed a single DT so far.

Can’t expect true freshman to come in and be impact players at D Edge

You replace Roy with the best player on our team in Maason Smith.

We signed 3 transfer DT including the best one in the portal in Jefferson.

Brought in multiple transfer Edge guys and Savion Jones will be better than Gaye.

Jefferson and Lee are the only DT we signed.

Shand is projected as edge

Lee isn't that good - Jefferson is.

We still are lacking quality depth.

we have 2 ELITE DT on the team next year in Wingo and Smith.

One good DT in Jefferson

One serviceable guy in Guillory.

That's a very good 4 deep at DT, not counting guys like langston, Lee, and Hill.

At some point you've got to stop melting.

They still need to get another good player at edge.

Langston and Guillory are still on the roster. Shand can play inside or outside. They're okay at DT right now. Edge rush is more important than DT as of now.

They need a S and possibly 1 more CB unless Alexander is thought of more as S which I doubt. Hard to imagine Welch isn't starter quality but you probably have Brooks as nickel too. They're not in dire needs at CB as this board is making it out to be.

Then you have Toviano who can be a CB or S need probably instant impact player or hope he is. Stamps/Hughes coming in too. We're not in dire needs at CB as this board makes it out to be. Alexander, Harris, Brooks, Welch. Not a bad 2 deep right there supplemented by the incoming 3 others including Toviano. Banks can be added there if he plays next year but I didn't include him because it's up in the air.

Board melting over dumb shite. Cypress never even showed LSU interest because LSU had no indication they were interested either. The only report was he might be interested in visiting from someone else. Maybe we're confident in what we already have.

Langston hasn't played a single snap this season helping Wingo and Roy get a breather - he's not even listed as a backup for the bowl game. It's Hill for both DT.

They need another corner because Harris can easily be a head case and get suspended/booted from the team. Everything thinking he's a lock needs to wait him play a whole college season first without getting in trouble.

We are 1000% in dire need of corners. Welch is a huge project that doesn't look to be back from his injuries if you paid $1 subscription insiders there have said so. Banks hasn't played a full season since arriving as well. Richardson is listed as the only back up for both corner positions for bowl game.

Stamps, and Hughes are both projects.

Toviano might be a quality piece to get early pt - we should all hope because we need it.

No melting here - I pointed out Kelly whiffed that's a objective fact on Ricks. How can you say we are confident in what we have when we were pushing for Cypress to visit and commit after our bowl game?

Why? You’ve got Denver Harris and Zy Alexander coming in as transfers. Toviano and Yaites as a freshman. Sevyn Banks, Brooks, Burns, and Ryan returning. That’s a pretty damn good room right there. Don’t sleep on Alexander.

Cypress would’ve been nice to have, but he’s by no means a must have.

You're losing Wingo, Smith and Jefferson after 2023

Hill and Langston were both projects and got zero snaps this past season even with the need for breathers for Wingo and Roy.

Yes you are melting by talking hyperbole like it's 1000% a need. They have plenty of time to address any needs that might arise. More will pop up after spring and if they feel like CB is a need, they'll address it. Stop worrying.

On paper right now LSU is fine at CB and DT. They have a solid 4 man rotation at DT especially if Shand slips inside. It's going to be nearly impossible to convince any big DT to come play behind Mason Smith and Wingo. They got a starter in Jefferson.

I also agree. People seem to forget that more players will jump in the portal after the national championship AND after spring ball. We have plenty of time to add more

You have to have a best case scenario outcome for every single one of those players to have quality CB depth

Brooks, Burns and Ryan are not corners

of course they were gonna recruit him … it doesn’t mean they’re not confident in the other guys
