Looks like there are still some solid players that hold LSU offers that are either not committed or not signed by other schools.

Any chance LSU could flip any of these guys?

Cassius Stanley (SG) - Not Committed
Terry Armstrong (SG) - Committed to Arizona
Avery Anderson (CG) - Committed to Ok. St.
Rocket Watts (CG) - Committed to Mich. St.
Jared Jones (C) - Committed to Northwestern
Qudus Wahab (C) - Committed to Georgetown
Kofi Cockburn (C) - Committed to Illinois
Christian Brown (SF) - Not Committed
Kalil Whitney (SF) - Committed to UK

I though LSU already had some targets?

Sy, Quinones, and Watford are the targets we plan to finish with, i believe.

But, If Naz and Waters both go pro, I think we will have room for another player.

No, Naz and Waters leaving gives us five. Edwards (who already transferred) and Bigby-Williams are the lone seniors and Wayde Sims gives us three (even though Marshall Graves is using it this season).

James Bishop and Charles Manning are already in. Sy, Quinones and Watford would cap us out

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking we had room for 1 more after the Edwards departure.

Don't think any of those guys are targets right now. Also, LSU backed off Avery Anderson and signed Bishop at that guard spot. Bishop had a dominating summer last year while Anderson wasn't as consistent. Also, if Dante reclassifies to the 2019 class, you can bet your bottom dollar he will be part of this class.

Mays, Taylor, Smart, Cooper, Hyatt, Days, Williams is all I see on the current roster. 6 remaining without Naz and Waters. Unless I missed where Graves is automatically getting a scholarship next year, you have flexibility with him if you get someone you think is better.

I agree, looks like we have room for 6 scholarship players.

Returning Next Year From Current Team
Cooper
Days
Hyatt
Mays
Smart
Taylor
Williams

Signed For Next Year
Manning
Bishop

That leaves us with 9 for next years roster. This would allow us to sign 4 more players. My original thoughts were correct, unless i'm missing someone.

Players don’t flip in basketball unless something goes bad with the coaching staff. If they are committed, they might as well be signed until someone gets fired or a promise isn’t fulfilled

Yep, forgot about him since they removed him from the roster.

I would imagine though Wade holds onto that and plays the grad transfer market

Starting to sound like Duke is pushing harder for Watford than they have been. Could be tough to pull if they go all out for him.

Does Watford even have an offer from Duke?

Not yet. Sounds like they started reaching out a few weeks ago, and it could be moving that way.

They will be there to see him play tonight along with us, Memphis and Alabama...state semi-final game.

BTW - In 2020 news Jalen Cook is going off big time in playoffs for Walker so far.

Just had 38 points and 8 3-pointers against Slidell in a round of 16 win on Tuesday. He had 31 points in first playoff game. Walker plays Landry-Walker in the quarterfinals tomorrow.

Sy, Lester, and Watford are the targets. Dante also if he reclassifies.

When does Dante have to announce if he is reclassifying?

I can't remember ever seeing/hearing a specific deadline, just as long as they meet the NCAA requirements with coursework. For example, Joey Baker of Duke announced in May of last year that he was reclassifying to play in the fall of 2018. I would assume as long as the NCAA can confirm your eligibility, you could push it pretty close to the start of the school year.
