There just isnt enough evidence to convince a free agent like Patterson to come here. I wish to god he would commit but I just dont see it
If they cant tell the difference between Mettenberger and JJ, God bless them...

If you truly believe what you have just wrote why the heck did the staff not play Mett this year instead of JJ and Lee? The staff sure didnt have a problem sitting Lee after JJ returned. If Mett could truly open it up then why didnt they allow him to do so down the stretch with Rueban still on the team? What is going to change over the summer to make you think that now Miles has realized he has a truly great passer now as opposed to all the times this year we needed it?

Id love to be completely wrong but it makes no sense for them,if they knew Mett could change the game offensively, to not play him this year when he was needed.

This is a most logical question that has not been sufficiently asked or answered by this coaching staff. This makes me nervous. Does not give me a warm fuzzy about Mettsaiah. And I have been hanging on to the hope.

JEEBUS!!

Mett showed up at SPRING of 2011.....his third offense to learn in 3 years.

3rd team reps are VERY FEW and not intended to actually prepare the dude to play that season. It is merely an emergency contingency thing.

He will take #1 reps from here on out. There is NO reason to doubt his abilities based upon his lack of playing in 2011. That team was starting out against Oregon and no coach was going to waste reps on Mett in that situation. Then LSU DOMINATED through 13 games (except at Bama and LSU won THAT one).

The BCS CG was awful...but, too late to turn to him.

Mett will be prepared and AWESOME this season.

It appeared obvious that Lee was out of the rotation from Nov 5 going forward. So still no Mett preparation. Didn't want to hurt Lee feelings. What? Dude had plenty of time to develop from Spring. It's not thermal Dynamics. He has been a quarterback, not a converted tight end. JEEBUS!

Emergency Contingency Thing = Jan 9?

Shea Dixon on Patterson
quote:

Another name to watch is Hutchinson (Kansas) Junior College wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, who could help soften the blow of junior wide receiver Rueben Randle electing to go pro. The Tigers could make a late play with the 6-foot-4, 202-pound, five-star prospect by landing a visit in the final two weekends. On Sunday, after a trip to Ole Miss, Patterson said this to Scout.com’s Yancy Porter about his final official visit: “I will probably go to LSU.” Besides Ole Miss, Patterson's other officials visits were to Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss and Tennessee received Patterson’s other official visits.

The above is a video that says Patterson will visit and the talk about Tracy Howard as well.

I can't seem to find why he went the JUCO route? Grades? Off the field issues?

With all the bad that followed LSU since the start of the year, one thing we do well is recruit. Go get' em Les!

Would be a great pick up after losing RR. How much of a shot does LSU have with him?

Would basically replace him completely. It seems like this guy is every bit as good as Reuben with maybe bigger size.
